Great location. Staff is very helpful as all Japanese staff. Restaurant was very full for breakfast. Expensive for the value of amenities and services.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific in Yokohama Bay for 1 night. As we travelled by train to Yokohama from Nara, the location of the hotel within the station complex (which also houses a big variety of restaurants and shops) was very convenient.

We had a problem with rooms on arrival. We had booked a double room with one big bed but were shown to a twin room. Despite showing them our printed confirmation showing exactly what we booked, reception insisted that only twin rooms were available at our room rate. Totally annoyed, we pressed for an alternative and were eventually upgraded to a suite on the same floor ... with twin beds.

The suite was far bigger space compared to the first twin room they showed us to, with a separate living area, dressing room, large bathroom (2 sinks, enclosed toilet, separate shower and bath) and another toilet by the entrance. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were rock hard.

Internet connection was available in the room only with a LAN cable (which is of no use if you travel with a tablet rather than a laptop, as we do). We bought a slice of cake downstairs at the cafe outside the hotel (Cafe de Crie) and used the free wi-fi there instead.

The Western/Japanese breakfast buffet at the hotel was not bad, but not amazing for the price (approx 2900 yen per person).

When we travel, we always want to love where we stay but unfortunately, this time, we left underwhelmed by our experience at the Pan Pacific.

Near the port and the brickhouses, location is good but not within walking distance to the city center

Everybody agrees that the location is great. The rooms are nice and the housekeeping staff were very humble and helpful. My husband and I stayed for over 3 weeks and on the second day we were asked to move to another room. What was confusing was we didn't know why but we did it anyway. Anyways we had a situation that disappointed us....... We wanted to make a payment to settle our room bill after the second week, it was only then that we realized our credit card was not working with them, We still don't know why because we used our credit card to pay for everything outside the hotel. Well moving on, we immediately withdrew cash and settled our bill up to that day. The very next day, front desk called us and asked if we know when we are checking out, they wanted us to pay in advance for the rest of our stay and also pay a little pay extra in case we took room service. I was very angry as they made us feel like we wouldn't pay although they got a cash payment previously. We did pay it but I'm never going back there to be treated that way again!

Stayed in this hotel last week and had a fabulous time. This is my fourth time in Yokohama and staying at this same hotel and every time have had a great stay. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. The hotel is clean and neat and the location is excellent. We did not have any problems using the table where the TV sat to connect our laptop to the LAN connection.

I stayed in this hotel for about 3 weeks. Love the location and the private balcony which came with my room. However that was all I liked about this hotel. In my second week, I was asked to move to a different room because of some maintenance work that had to be carried out. That would have been fine if they hadn't insist that I had to move back to the old room after one night in a different room. It was a same type of room at the same rate. However they still insisted for me to move back to my old room because another guest will be moving to the other room. Didn't understand why can't the guess just check into the other room then I wouldn't have to move twice in 2 days which is a hassle when you have lots of luggage with you.
Another collegue face a similar problem. He extended his stay and he had to check out from his room and check into another room which was a same room type at the same rate.

They could just be a bit more flexible in room arangement/logistics.

I won't stay here next time. Intercontinental was much better.
