This is a very cute little collection of pictures of Mt Fuji in all seasons, you can also talk with the proud photographer, then go downstairs to the cafe lead by the lovely wife of the photographer. They even have a hazelnut and chestnut inspired dessert shaped like a mini Mt Fuji. Just gorgeous!

It was great to discover this pretty museum and talk with the photographer and his wife! There are really welcoming and the chocolat chaud is tasty.

As we tried to recover & have some rest in Gora (after a long climb to the top of Mt Fuji), we accidentally came across this Museum slightly hidden in the narrow alleyway.
Heavy rain outside surely helped us to make the right decision so we quickly walked inside, fascinated by rather intimate character of the place.
You could tell straight away that the owner & author of all works was a keen photographer.
It was a great pleasure seeing so many interesting works of Mt Fuji and Hakone area altogether. Many photos taken by Mr Endo over the years became part of various exhibitions around the world.
In the end we were also lucky enough to have a little chat with the owner and his joyous wife.
Thank you very much for your kind welcome and a souvenir presented to us.
We look forward to visiting you next time and try some of the delicacies served in Cafe Plaisir de L'eouf (next door).

On a very wet last day in Hakone this was a wonderful find. Lovely couple, most welcoming and fabulous photos of Mt Fuji. This place should be more well known as Endo san's family's contribution to the photographic heritage of the area is out of proportion to the size of this lovely, small gallery. While the Hakone Open Air Museum is hard to beat, in its own way this is just as wonderful an achievement. In a word, GO!

Situated down a side street near the first stop on the cable car from Gora terminus.

Amazing museum! Endo's passion for art is the flavor of this space the moment you step in.
Awesome views of Mt.Fuji captured.
The place has a very warm cafe, managed by his wife Eiko.
