“Small rooms, but convenient”
Reviewed July 10, 2013

The rooms are very small and a little outdated, so it feels like you are staying in a budget hotel. The bathroom is very small and I'm pretty sure a tall person's head would hit the ceiling when in the bath! However the amenities are typical of 4-star hotels and the restaurants have very decent food. The Japanese restaurant's buffet dinner is amazing and the variety is great! They have small touches which make things easier for a family with kids, for example a step stool for kids at the sink, and the buffet breakfast and dinners have child-friendly offerings. They offer a free shuttle to Disneyland and to the Monorail to take to DisneySea. It is VERY crowded in the mornings, so leave enough time to have breakfast or stand in line for the Disney bus.

Good:
-Helpful front office staff.
-Though a small room for 2 pax, but there were plenty of amenities inside!
-Has a swimming pool & a great view of Cinderella's Castle (certain rooms only), what more could you expect of?

Bad:
-Sadly, everytime I stay here, I never use it during the afternoons, because I am in the Disney parks =(
-Restaurants inside the hotel are expensive.

We have stayed near Tokyo Disney before but this Hotel was way more convenient without the huge Disney cost that you would expect. Convenient with free shuttle buses to Maihama JR station and Disney. Restaurants are affordable with a large selection. Staff were faultless and room wonderful.

I wanted to stay within the 'Disney resort grounds' but didn't want to spend big bucks. My solution- stay at Sunroute Plaza Tokyo.

I read a blogger review all the official hotels located within the resort grounds and described SPT as the blandest of them all. That may be true but, if you think about the amount of time you spend in the hotel vis-a-vis the amount of time spent in the amusement parks, this shouldn't be a factor. What should be a factor though is that it is the most budget friendly.

However, if my 12 year old son would write a blog, I'm sure that he would have nothing but praise for this hotel. He loved the nautical theme of the room assigned to us. I thought it was narrow and long.

Can't help but compare this property to its sister hotel located in Shinjuku.

This wins in staff helpfulness and friendliness hands down and really must be commended. Must be the Disney vibe rubbing in on all its employees.

This also wins in the breakfast spread department. However, among the two dining places where you can eat breakfast, I'd recommend you go to the California cafe instead of the Japanese resto at the back if you are more interested in Western fare.

Tickets can be bought directly at the hotel so you can forego the long lines that form at the ticket booths in the morning.

Shuttle bus is provided to access both the monorail (and the parks) and the train to Tokyo.

Room Tip: Rooms at the inner South and West Towers have a good view of the parks and the fireworks at night. T...

Travel here for New Year 2013.. It is centralised to most of the places. Bus station to Disneyland is just 15 mins walk away. There's shopping malls surrounding the hotel. Food galore around the hotel as well. There's a convenient shop opposite the hotel. A very decent Starbucks just a staircase opposite the hotel.

Been reading that a lot of people saying the room are small, but it is perfect for me and my partner. Just enough spaces for everything. Luggages and shopping stuffs.

Another thing I would like to bring up is the cleanliness, which is very good. Spotless and the toilet are left clean every time I came back to my room.

Sadly they only have wifi at the lobby. So my advice is, if you are an Apple fan, get an airport express to spread wifi in your room, as they have the blue cable for internet, and it's free :) or simply use a laptop to spread the wifi if you know how to..

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room ^^

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in Feb 13 on our way back from a Hakuba ski trip, this is a great hotel!

The room is small but OK for a quick stay, we chose the double and there was enough room for a couple without too much luggage.

The bathroom is small but has everything you need, except could maybe use a little more counter space. Good shower. The bed was comfortable and you can order soft pillows from reception which were amazing after two weeks of rice pillows!

The Italian bar downstairs is good for pre dinner drinks, although the lunch menu is quite limited.

The location is fantastic. Only a very short walk to the JR Station, it is also on the Narita Express line, which makes getting to and from the airport very easy. There is also a bus to and from the airport which stops at the hotel.

If you are craving an espresso there is a Segafredo coffee shop nearby, they don't have a non smoking area though so I would recommend take away.

The hotel had an offer available when we were there where if you joined the loyalty club for JPY500, you get late check out till 1.00pm - this was great as we had a late flight.

The hotel has WIFI but this was very intermittent.

A 10 minute walk from Shinjuku station is Memory Lane aka P*ss Alley, an amazing little alley way famous for tiny traditional japanese eateries. I highly recommend at least one meal here, they cook a range of foods on skewers from chicken and pork to liver, hearts and much more adventurous if you are brave, as well as seafood and vegetables too. It is a great experience to be enjoyed with a few cold Kirin.

There is too much to see in Tokyo to see it in just a couple of days, my recommendation would be to plan what you want to see and how to get there. A day JR pass cost us around JPY750 (about $7.50AU) for unlimited travel. The trains are always on time, but can get very crowded at peak hour.

Stayed here September of 2006
The location is good since its not too far away from Disney land/sea
They provide shuttle bus for free to all guest going about Disney or Maihama Station
And one of the cheapest and reasonably priced hotel amongst Disney Resorts partner Hotels

The room is clean and comfortable
Staff are accommodating
Their breakfast buffet tastes good

Recommended to those who wants to spend the night or take some rest while exploring Disney land/ sea without having to spend too much money
