“best part is the foyer”

Of all the hotels we stayed in while in Japan, this was by far our least favourite. The foyer is grand and promising, but the rest of the hotel is a let down. The room we stayed in was large by Japanese standards, but very dated, and the bathroom small in comparison to the room. Breakfast is way overpriced and works out to be about $120 Australian dollars for a family of 4 (2 adults to children over 12). And don't even think of using the pool. That is even more expensive. I could not believe it. I would not stay again.

Arriving at this hotel late at night the entrance looked great. Staying for 8 days. Getting to the room was the first noticeable issue. Very limited food room service after 12. Ordered a continental breakfast early. At $22 it said toast I just got bread, no butter.

The good

Staff friendly
Drinks on floor with ice

The bad

Niggles
Table wasn't cleaned in room at all
Food room service quality was average and different on each day.
Banging on the night
Toilet was leaking
One bottle of water for three people
House keeping knocking on your door at 9.30
Pillows were bad
Paying for Disney rail. A bus going across the room isn't complimentary
Leaving dirty dishes after cleaning

Major issues
Food costs were massive for the service and the restaurants. $86 for breakfast per day and over $130 for dinner

Paying for wifi

Paying $98 for 2 day access for the pool. When staying 8 days it adds up. They tried to incorporate all other extras in that cost. It was advertised as hotel amenity then charge the massive price. You couldn't even use the deck chairs without paying. Staff spent more time checking payment than looking at the pool

Other hotels like Hilton, shanghai la, Marriott don't charge this fee for the pool.

Stayed for 3 nights at Club Level. Two adults and two kids each in own bed in one room. Very good buffet breakfast in club lounge and handy drinks at end of each long day at Disney. Automatic beer dispenser a winner! Only let down by poor choice of restaurants for dinner. The buffet is overpriced and poor quality and not recommended. The more up market a la carte restaurant is actually better value and much better food and service.

The lobby is neat and clean and the staff is fairly attentive. They do not offer the SPG kids 10 dollar meals. If you chose to eat breakfast buffet it would cost over 100 USD for a family of 4. Wifi is NOT free. They say its free in the lobby, but its a tiny room way in the back and the connection is terrible. The rooms are indeed huge but smell terrible, linens seem old, beds are uncomfortable - never had a SPG hotel with such hard beds, the bathrooms are the tiny Japanese modular type which were clean etc but for a family of 4 way too small. We stayed at the Hilton down the street 3 years ago and it was a lot better with breakfast included in the room cost and much better service. There is clearly an outdoor pool but when we asked they told us ther isn't an outdoor pool? Overall a disappointment.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels and the Sheraton Grande goes to top spot. The welcome centre was superbly run (dropped our bags, swiped the plastic and next thing you
know you're in Disneyland).


The Treasure room was huge - two double beds and two single beds and still room to move around. The Disney theme isn't overdone and is still great for the kids.

We took a break from the theme park and went back to our room to find our luggage had been safely delivered. A quick break then and a short stroll and monorail ride later we were back at the park.

The food is typically priced for a Sheraton and as we don't do buffets, we found the restaurants and cafes near the station a better proposition.

All in all, a great resort and one that we will use again in the future.

This hotel is extremely well managed and it shows in so many ways.

This is not a brand new hotel so you would expect the odd thing broken or tired BUT no I found nothing.

It is super clean and very roomy.

The ambassador Christopher was one of the nicest genuine managers I have spoken to in any hotel anywhere ( and there are 1000s)

He and his staff did everything they could to make it a good stay

We had a tiny problem and Christopher fixed it and importantly followed up on it to ensure all was well. Which it was.

You rarely find managers that are prepared to risk asking how a problem was for fear of re opening it, but here the follow up was excellent and caring.

The hotel is large but not I homely modern but not over the top

This hotel seems to have 99@% Japanese guests but that I think says a lot as if the locals like it and use it they are not living just off the SPG brand

Very good breakfast but because a tourist location starts and finishes a bit sooner than some hotels but you don't come to Disney to spend all morning in bed

Room cleaning was faultless

Club lounge good

Disney tickets in hotel are cash only but no problem but bring cash
