“Happy Magic Rooms”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Really enjoyed our stay here. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Our kids loved the Happy Magic Room. Convenience store was very well stocked. They gave us extra pillows and towels for our stay and had efficient check-in and check-out

**********Pros: Exceptionally friendly staff, exceeded my expectations in politeness, attentiveness and general positive attitude. I'm basing this on about 20+ interactions of various staff from the check-in, to bellboy/baggage handlers (who saw me with a breakfast coupon headed in the wrong direction and redirected me), to the disney window gentleman who saw me read the sign and came over and sold me ticket (after window had just closed) in the evening saying it's better to get it in the evening than wait for a line in the morning. All the breakfast staff were polite. Housekeeping was impeccable. The best I've ever seen at any hotel. Immaculately cleaned on white tile daily (where you can see no dirt/no hairs)! So staff 100% Excellent and spoke English better than I imagined. Now the room: Happy Magic Room: Pure bliss for my 7 and 8 year old. Super cute for anyone with children or for the young at heart. Hologram mirror! Key that makes a sound. Superb attention to details. Bathroom: Wow! Toto warming seat on the toilet! I want one now! Fantastic Immediate Hot Shower with Great Water Pressure. Recessed light right above bathroom so very bright. The mirror had a warmed rectangular section so it did not fog, (great for putting on makeup or men who use it to shave face). Did not hear any neighbor's showering or pipe sounds. I also loved that the room had a nice bay view, and had Japanese screen windows AND wooden screen doors over the windows that completely blackened the room (to sleep in). Restaurants: Breakfast buffet was extensive and excellent (50% Japanese, 50% western). I highly recommend it and it is definitely worth it if purchased with the room, but I would't spend extra money on site for it (I'll explain later). The two dining halls had the same array of food for breakfast. The delicious breakfast buffet had at least 50 items to choose from including 4 cereals, 4 freshly squeezed juices, calamari, hams, bacon, eggs (cooked several different ways) , curry, rice, miso, croissants, multiple bakery items (i.e.: chocolate danish, melon cake), fish, multiple fresh fruit, mac and cheese, pasta...I'm just naming the western food here! The restaurant staff were excellent in turning the tables around so there was only one day were we waited about 5 minutes to get a table otherwise we were immediately seated and food was immediately available. Other food options in the hotel: (1) You can order room service throughout the day which I thought was typical (high end hotel) expensive. I did not do this. (2) A bakery on first floor that had nice cakes/desserts for about $5-6, even small cheese quiche/bacon quiche for about $3 that my kids liked, and sandwiches/delis for $5-10 which I thought was very reasonable(3) Wonderful small 24 hour convenient store on-site in the hotel that was very reasonably priced. Had many snacks, drinks, convenient food salads/snacks there. (4) You can jump on the Disney monorail and go to the Ikspiari shopping mall (10 mins away) and eat there! Convenience of the hotel: This hotel is truly perfect for Disney. We booked a second hotel (for fewer days) in Tokyo Central (My kids were deeply disappointed in the other hotel) since the Happy Magic room set a new high . Surrounding neighborhood is resort landscape/other hotels. It is on the bay, but there is a seawall around the property, so no beach access. Also, you can buy disney tickets and passes at the hotel, but have cash (yen) ready. Our family of four LOVED THIS HOTEL and we definitely will recommend this hotel to everyone.
****CONS: (I think just being aware of the following information is useful): Internet is the room is a little pricey. Our solution, we rented a portable internet device from an airport kiosk for about $10/day. The hotel also provides 4 computer stations free of charge with internet in the lobby. (They were hardly used). Breakfast.***I believe that you should book the room as 4 adults (in a room that has capacity of 4) if you have middle-aged children (such as aged 5-12) since "breakfast included" is for 2 adults only. Even Hilton confirmed this. This may not be clear on the website, since I think it may be a local policy specific to this hotel or specific to Japanese hotels. This is why I would 100% book this hotel with breakfast, but book it as "4 adults" to make sure that the children get breakfast included too. The beautiful outdoor pool/splash area was not open in April (open summer months only). The indoor pool was too expensive for us to try with a daily rate. I knew all this from other people's posts so I was not disappointed. Since I really loved this hotel, I gave this really long review! I think communication is the key to happy traveling so realistic expectations are attained.

Room Tip: Happy Magic Room was on the three floors (middle of hotel). Very cute for children. Nice quiet roo...

Stayed two nights at Happy Magic Room with 4 beds. We were happy with our stay. It needed a separate monorail pass for commuting to and from Disneyland, Disneysea and Maihama station. Happy with it. There was a good convenient store at floor 1 to provide nice Japanese low-price food. Happy!!!

we stayed here 2 nights and got the 10th floor celebrio room with 4 beds. It was a change from the usual Tokyo crampy and small rooms. So the big room is such a treat, and beautiful tokyo bay view. You will see 3 canned drinks and 2 bottled water in the mini-ref of coke, aquarius, fanta grape, they are free! Wi-fi is surprisingly fast too.

I love the sheets, pillows and comfortable bed. We all had very good sleep.

Going to disneyland/sea must take monorail, we bought the 2 day monorail pass. The hotel restaurant is expensive so before heading back after a long day at the them park, pass by Ikspiari Shopping mall, they have a food court there that serves Japanese comfort food of ramen and katsu-curry.

Our package is bed and breakfast was also a great deal, breakfast spread had pretty good selection of continental and Japanese food, fuel up for a long day with my 2 kids at disney.

I want to commend also the fast bell service. We called to have luggage pick up and 2 minutes they rang the room bell! The people at the concierge are very attentive. Excellent customer service.

Thanks for making this a wonderful experience in Tokyo Disney Resort.

Room Tip: Get the bed and breakfast package.. because there's no other fast food place to eat like McDonal...

We Stayed here for 1 night. We book a Celerio Ocean View room. The room is a panoramic view from the large window over looking the Tokyo Bay. The Hotel is the perfect location for the Disneyland/Disneysea.

Room Tip: Get the high floor room.

Great service, gorgeous funky room with great view over Tokyo Bay. Comfortable king size bed which was a welcome relief after some of the harder beds we experienced in Japan. Nice breakfast buffet, but it could do with some additional non-Japanese food choices.

Great room; clean, new, comfy beds with beautifully crisp white sheets and pyjamas offered gratis for our use there (we laerned this was normal in Japan!). Kids had little cute sponges left for them each day - nice touch!
Really pleased with the upgrade offer we booked at time of reservation, room on high floor with amazing view across the bay to Tokyo. A great way to see the city for the first time.
We were allowed to check in early, got over jetlag as best we could.
Hotel sells Disney park tickets so we were able to be super organised and get ours in advance allowing us more time in the part the next day (a mere 13 hours!).
Buffet restaurant was v good, but pricey. Hilton Honours programme meant we could beat the breakfast queues, whcih was nice. Well stocked, nothing too much trouble. They even made us scotch pancakes when we asked one morning.
Didn't use leisure facilities as we were only there for a couple of nights.
Would certainly recommend. V easy to get to Disney (monorail station within 5 minutes walk - not sure why there's even a shuttle bus to the station from the hotel as we walked there quicker, but it was cute!) and the Ikspiari shopping outlet (like Bicester or Val d'europe but japanese - good base for food options!).
Thanks Hilton - good job!

Room Tip: Recommend the Bay view.
