Narita Airport Rest House
Ranked #10 of 30 Hotels / Ryokan in Narita

Stayed here to catch an early flight from Narita. Large rooms but very tired and dated and not particularly clean. You are only stay here for the purpose of flying and probably one night so its fine for that and the price is very cheap(£35.00), so I would stay again if I had to . Didn't use the restaurant. The free airport shuttle to both terminals was much appreciated !

Picked this hotel at random from a bunch of similar hotels. I made a great choice. Its a 5 minute walk from Terminal 2 and I had no noise from aircraft. I chose the single room as I was on my own and it was bigger than some double places I've stayed in. Good comfortable bed, a bath, heater (it was winter), tea/coffee. All you need for one or two nights. It has a good restaurant where I ate twice. Staff were helpful and polite. If you stay here, make sure you go have a look at the Naritasan Temple. Its a 15 minute train ride from Terminal 2 and then a 10 minute walk. Its a beautiful old temple complex. I spent 4 hours wandering around the beautiful Japanese gardens and exploring. The town of Narita is quite pleasant too.

Stayed one night at Narita Airport Rest House on my way to Guam and two nights on the way back.
The hotel was located within walking distance from terminal one but they also have a free shuttle from terminals one and two.
The room was clean and nice with tv, fridge, kettle, hairdryer and amenities in the bathroom.
There is a good japanese restaurat on ground floor open until 10pm.
After that you can get drinks and something to eat from the wending machines. Would recommend this hotel to anyone in need of a cheap and nice hotel at Narita Airport.

So here's the deal with Narita Airport - everything closes after 9:00. So if you don't have a connecting flight until morning, you have to sleep in the airport's designated overnight area, where you will be required to stay after 11:00 PM, and which consists of a few rows of chairs and several security officers watching you. The Narita Airport Rest House is an excellent alternative. The hotel is within walking distance of the airport 'sleeping quarters'. The hotel has everything you need, including complimentary internet. It's not the fanciest place in Japan, but lets face it, its much better than sleeping in the airport. So if you are sitting in the airport trying to figure out an alternative, take my advice and head over to the Narita Airport Rest House. Charge for the night was about $87 US.

Old, tired, scuffed. Nylon bedspread. The advertised bar on the lower floor does not exist. You an only get food or drink after 10pm from a vending machine. However, it was clean and closest to Narita terminals, but you should only stay here if you really must.

Our flight arrived in the evening and we decided to stay close to the airport on our first night. This hotel is very serviceable and quite comfortable for a one night stay. Hotel breakfast was ok and as well there is a good range of vending machines in the foyer - and also a microwave if you need to heat food. We arrived at T2 so waited for the airport bus which is quite regular. We are keen walkers and had we arrived at T1 would probably have walked to hotel as it is only a short walk from T1 and the footpath is quite ok (you can see the large blue neon sign on top of the hotel from outside the terminal). Next day we were taking train to Kyoto so took the short walk back to T1 as trains towards Tokyo depart from here.

We stayed in this hotel in October first week as our flight from a India landed late evening and it would have been difficult to catch transportation to Tokyo city. The hotel is situated just about 10 mts drive from the Narita international airport a Terminally 2. You can use the hotel pickup limousine which runs at regular intervals from the terminal to the hotel and back. It usually ( at least when we took it) leaves from Bus stop # 32. We had some difficulty in locating the stop as there are two rows of bus stops in front of the arrival hall. This stop #32 is in the row on the other side of the road in front of the hall. The room is quite basic and small. The airconditioning is not very effective as the AC vent is located on the window sill. Fortunately the room has a lightweight portable pedestal fan which can be used. The hotel shuttle drops you at the stop very near the stop from where the airport limousine leaves(stop#10) for Tokyo city. Since all the sightseeing spots in a Tokyo are well away from a Narita, this hotel at best can be used for a stop gap stay.
