The Nikko Narita web site said they have a check-in machine for JAL clients who can have advanced check-in at the hotel. However, The machine had been discontinued or terminated or non-woking as of October 1, 2010. This was a big disappointment.

In the small room there is a 17” LCD TV. The thermostat is only showing off, warm, hot, and very hot. I turned it off at night with outside temp of 45 deg F.

2000 yen (officially 1USD= 81 yen) for a breakfast buffet is rather expensive. Japanese flavor breakfast (porridge and rice). A few selection of pastry and a cook to order egg. I eat some tasty salmon and bread to fill up. For a cheaper dinner, a quick pace 5 minute walk down hill is noodle (ramen) restaurant. It is across the street.

The hotel reception desk posted USD exchange rate at 1USD=68 Yen. This is horrible as the bank exchange counter inside the airport quoted 1USD=78 Yen.

I advise you to look up the hotel's website for instructions to locate the shuttle bus in either Terminal 1 or Terminal 2. The Shutter comes pick up guests every 15 – 30 minutes. There was a porter standing by at the bus stand to help picking up your heavy luggages. The bus drove right to the hotel without any stops which took 10 minutes.

I took the 7:20pm shutter bus to the AEON mall. The shutter bus provide free shutter to Narita city from 6am to 11pm. However only three times a day from the hotel to mall. There is only one time from mall back to hotel at 9:50pm pick up from the mall.

Good: Nice and clean, 24-hour convenience shop at lobby, last shuttle bus from Narita Terminal 2 at 11.15pm

Drawback: no safe, no swimming pool

=====================================================================
Hotel has a 24-hour convenience shop at lobby, selling souvenir as well.

Check-in and check-out process is fast.

Room stayed was New Concept Twin room. Nice and clean. Early-bird promotion available during our booking, so very worth it. Very satisfied with our choice.

Incredibly hard mattress. No bottled water in the room. Tiny tv. No WiFi. Tiny shower with the curtain rod style that usually causes the curtain to touch you (gross). Floor looked pretty dirty and no slippers to be found. This hotel needs updating. Only pluses- convenient shuttle to/from airport and the breakfast buffet was alright.

Compared to other airport hotels in Narita City, the Nikko is not the most luxurious, but all the amenities you need are there. From the Lawson convenient store on the lobby level, to the massage chairs near reception, it's all there. I stayed in a single room on account of a flight delay and found the rooms pretty much the basic standard similar to most business hotels in Japan. It also looks and feel like an older property with 80's decor, but the hallways are quite spaceous. The rooms itself may actually be even smaller than similar hotels in its class, but the bathroom is about 1/3 roomier.

The Nikko is one of the closest hotels to Narita airport - approx 5 minutes by taxi. Didn't get to try the breakfast as the bus pick-up was at 5:30am.

Have stayed at 4 different hotels in the area, and this definitely is not the worst, yet not in the same class as some of the international chains either.

A great place to stay before a flight.The hotel is located close to the airport, the staff speaks English very well, room is convenient with silent ventilation.The breakfast was good. The rooms were more spacious than is normally the case in Japan.It has a souveneir shop, 24 hr food convenience store, free shuttle bus (comfortable) to and from airport,
