I had a 20 hour layover on my trip home from the Philippines and I stayed at Hotel Nikko. Even if the hotel is not new it was very clean and had the amenities one needs for an overnight stay. It provides you with free transportation to local destinations and it has a convenience store where you can buy a cheap dinner if you choose not to eat out or dine at their in house restaurants. The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of continental and Japanese breakfast fare. However, if you are not one to eat Japanese food for breakfast I think you should just eat at the coffee shop or buy some from the convenience store. the buffet costs Y2000. It is very near Narita International Airport so you can actually check in less than 3 hours before your flight.

I had to catch a morning flight the next day from Narita Airport and after some research, Hotel Nikko Narita was one of the more affordable hotels in the area with free and regular shuttle buses between the airport and the hotel (as well as to Keisei Narita Station, AEON Mall and Crowne Plaza Hotel)

The hotel is old, dating back to 1978 and it is undergoing some renovations while I was there hence the convenience shop wasn't open 24/7. The top floor is a restaurant and a lounge which had an affordable happy hour promotion (2 drinks and cocktail nuts) where you could do some plane watching.

The room was a bit dated (some rooms have been given a face lift) but nonetheless comfortable. The best part of the hotel is its service, I almost lost my sketchbook when I left it behind at the reception but the receptionist was honest and kind enough to safe keep it for me and inform for me about it and she also help me check for the shuttle bus timing for the next day after I gave her my flight timing.

Overall, a decent transit hotel, surrounded by greenery too.

Stayed here for one night due to missed connection. The airline booked the hotel so I wasn't expecting much. The hotel was nice and their restaurant offered a plentiful buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Staff at the front desk were very nice and most helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable place to spend the night and definitely beat waiting at the airport all night. If I ever have a need to stay in Narita, Japan again, I would stay here.

I stayed for one night transit while waiting for my domestic flight connection in the next morning. Book it online directly from the hotel 2 months in advance (or at least 14 days) to get a very special price. There is a shuttle bus running twice an hour from/to airport, so your transfer is convenient (the bus was full on both legs). They also have bus to local shopping complex if you stay longer during the day time. The check in is flawless as I've already book it online, less than 5 minutes, although it takes more time to serve group check-in/walk-ins. And the hotel room is much better from what I have expected from the price, their single room in the old building is not so small and size of the bathroom is also adequate even compared to Japanese business hotels in the city. They also provide strong wifi connection on top of LAN cable in the room, another exceptional feature than most hotels in Japan. Convenience store is available on the first floor. Very relaxing and worth the price, a good rest after my long haul flight.

Me and my 6yr boy stayed at this hotel to get morning flight from Narita.

We got a free bus from the airport which took only 10mins to the hotel.
The bus was nealy full but there were only two staffs at check in desk, it took good 15mins to get our keys.

We've booked their 'connect room' which wad great idea when you have young child with you. It's basically two single rooms with a door between two rooms so you can put child in bed and go to your room without actually leaving your child alone in the room!
Each rooms was big enough with single bed, tv, desk, bath, etc everything you need at an airport hotel.

One of the restaurant seems very busy and far too noisy so we went to the Chinese restaurant on 2nd floor. It was much smaller and quiet, we enjoyed lovely food there.
Our waitress told us about the hotel's royalty card that you can get, its free to join and gives you 20% off most of their menu. Just ask for it! You will get discount as soon as you fill in the form at the table.

There are plenty of bus to the airport in the morning but its bettet to go and wait oitside if you want to get one around 7am as it is very busy time.

It is a clean big airport hotel.
I would use it again for sure.

We've stayed here at least 4 times while passing through Narita to and from South East Asian countries. The Front Desk is always friendly and efficient. The room is smaller than American standard size but CLEAN. There's a shuttle that will take us to and from the airport in 10 minutes. Overall, it is a good hotel for an overnight lay over.

Most people arrive by bus from the nearby airport and I suspect stay one night. Guests therefore arrive in waves. The check in facility at the hotel is inadequate with too few staff and lengthy processes. Apart from this the hotel is very good. The rooms are comfortable and very well equipped. The hotel has a number of different restaurants some very busy. The transfer bus service works well and runs to time. Don't be late for a scheduled bus departure otherwise it will be gone
