I had a one night stay at the Hilton Narita whilst awaiting a connecting flight. All in all it was a typical chain hotel, of which there was nothing overly wrong but nothing particularly special either.
The shuttle bus is free of charge, but do note the times - they do not run as frequently as I would have thought (only one per hour and some times of the day).
The room was of the standard set up, although was perhaps a bit dated and it could have been cleaner (hairs in the bath..). The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower was fine. I had no issues with noise.
As with others I am amazed at the lack of wifi in this day and age, and also by the price then charged for wired access.
The staff were courteous and efficient.
The hotel shop was a convenient and reasonably priced place for lunchtime snacks. In the evening the bar's happy hour made a beer or two affordable and the staff there were really friendly. The food however was exceedingly bland and a very small portion.
In sum the place was probably no worse than anywhere else in the nearby vicinity, but was probably a typical example of a chain hotel in a remote location being able to rest on its laurels a bit given the 'captive audience'.
