Having stayed in Narita before, I wanted a hotel which was closer to town so I could walk after a long flight and chose Richmond Hotel Narita. The rooms were typical of Japanese rooms, very small, but nothing to worry about. The breakfast was sufficient. The hotel is modern and very clean but as I mentioned the best part is the proximity to the town center and Naritasan Temple.

For never having left the USA, this hotel was an excellent find. It was a quick 15 minutes or so from NRT airport. Upon arrival, the hotel desk held our luggage for us until check in time, at which point we found out that they took it up to the room for us! The showers were phenomenal, the beds extremely comfortable, and the room was spotless. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a "western" style hotel with very comfortable accommodations and easy airport access. The hotel is within walking distance of a city market-type area and many restaurants, as well as a temple. Great for exploring! Free WIFI, too!

The Richmond Hotel is the perfect hotel for layover stays in Narita. The hotel has a free shuttle service (as do more expensive hotels) from the airport. Check the terminal map once you get your luggage for the hotel shuttles (area 16 in terminal one). That said, their shuttle service is less frequent and more timed so don't tally making your way through the airport, going through customs, storing luggage and getting cash from an ATM, etc.

The hotel has free breakfast and is close to the cluster of restaurants around the rail station.

The rooms are clean and well equipped. The staff is polite and helpful.

We found this hotel after the recent major Feb snowstorm that hit Tokyo. We had to find alternative accomodation due to cancelled flights. We stayed for 2 nights. This was a great find and was decently price. Hotel looks clean, neat and new. We were asked if we mind having a smoking twin room due to full occupancy and last minute walk in basis. However room had a air purifier as well as window could be open to allow fresh air and had a air freshener spray to remove cigarette odor. Overall experience was great and cigarette smell was minimal. 8 mins walking distance to town with lots of restaurants, shops supermarket and rail lines. Front desk was very helpful though not all spoke English. Will definitely stayed here again if I need a stopover or layover.

It is a nice hotel with clean rooms. Very friendly staff and good location close to Narita Station. Several restaurants within walking distance. We were unable to fulfill what we wanted in Narita due to the weather, so next time to Japan we plan to spend a night or two in Narita - good thing is we don't have to shop for a hotel - it will be Richmond.
