“Quiet and fresh air”
Reviewed February 22, 2014

The park is inside the temple on the main souvenir street in Narita. Just 10 mins walking distance from the train station. The park was well maintained, quiet and with refreshing air.

“A wonderful peaceful park with a varied landscape with so many interesting things to see.”
Reviewed October 14, 2013 via mobile

We visited this park in early July as it was just behind where we were staying. It was a lovely windy warm day. The pines were beautiful with their limbs swaying in the wind. It was very quiet otherwise and we saw a large variety of trees, several turtles, and lots of fish. The big pagoda was beautiful and my daughter enjoyed a bowl of sweetened/flavoured crushed ice at a nice little Japanese style table outdoors in under a swaying pine. Nice memorable place.

Reviewed October 9, 2013

Was here on 20th sept 13. Had a stopover in Narita. My plane was not due to leave until 6pm.
So came here to just chill and hang. Glad that I did. Great way to spend the day if your here for a layover. Only one stop away from Narita airport.

“Serene, calm place away from the bustling town”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

* Great place to get away from busting town. The park has lot of greenery, ponds and small waterfall with huge fishes which you can come very close to them.
* It was slightly tricky to get park area which is nestled in Shinshoji Temple. Also the sign direction and map is Japanese. But once you get inside the area, its worth the visit.

“Best day in a 5 day visit”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

A hotel shuttle dropped us off at the Keisei Norita (east) train station. The walk through the town on a cool misty Sunday morning was part of the fun...eels being prepared for grilling in restaurants, small shops, little traffic. Naritasan Park was a large complex of different shrines, temples, gates, statues, grottos, fountains, museums and gardens. Our visit was highlighted by the sacred fire rite "Goma", drums, chants, smoke, fire, gongs. It was a remarkable experience for us and so accessible fom local hotels, free, English descriptions on the sign posts. Lots of stairs/hills to be aware of. Many families with children visiting when we were there.
