Good hotel, although a little rundown in parts. At first staff were helpful and friendly especially given the amount of guests that check in and out. However some of the staff got very stroppy when it came to me trying to checkin early. I arrived at 8am and although the hotel was prebooked with a 2pm checkin I had hoped to check in earlier as with most hotels. I was told 4pm is check in time on numerous occassions here which isnt much use for overnighting passengers spending one night at Narita! Eventually the manager let me check in at 1pm and gave me a room upgrade to a very large and modern room, which is especially good for Japan.
I saw that reception was closed for checkin until around 4pm which I found amazing given its an airport hotel. Theres also a regular free bus into Narita and to the airport, which is good but not 24 hours so beware if you have an unsociable flight time. I found the Mercure in Narita itself to be far better and also cheaper when they did their regular promotions and WITHOUT A SILLY 4PM CHECKIN TIME.
