When you walk in this building, you will hear the sound of music box coming all around you inside where of course comes with many tourist walking around inside searching a little pretty music box for them to bring back home. There are many kind of music box, from glass, wood, fabric, and many others! Quite unique place you didn't just find anywhere around. Well don't be surprised with the price, hehe :P. But, i tell you, even though the price is simply quite high, it's still logically acceptable because of the quality.

Conclusion: Not much word needed for this place, just "amazing (素晴らしい)"

Fantastically immersed with the beauty and hundreds of beautiful music boxes that one will forget the time spent there and do not wish to leave the place. Must purchase an item as memory esp one that can be hung at your doorway entrance or in your room. Each item carries different music tone so dont worry about repeats. In doubt ask for assistance, they will guide you to what kind of music that soothes your ears. Good gifts to bring home to friends and family esp those who have friends getting married soon buy the various groom and bride musical box.

I've heard about this place from my japananese friend, it took 35minute of bus riding from my hotel. the set is stunning, it will make you confuse wether its a museum a shop or a mall,.. hahaha

there's thousand of music box to choose and buy of course. dont get wrong the first floor is a museum yah not a shop. you can always wait for the "big horn to make a sound'.

bought one of the orgel's for my first visit and give it to my 5 month baby girl, she like the sound, today she's 3 years old and still she like the sound very much.

brought my almost 3 years baby girl, to the place ,.. and you know what she refuse to leave the place, hahahahaha

The building that the Music Box Museum is set in is stunning.

The museum area itself is rather mall - when you enter you will mistake the building for a shop.

The music boxes that are available for sale are incredible and there is a very large amount of choice.

For the first floor I didn't even realise I was in a museum - I honestly thought it was a shop. It is well worth a look - but if you are going for the history - it is in a relatively small area, but spread throughout the shop.

There is not a large amount of information available in English.

Though this museum was antique and dark in outside shape, view of inside was fantastic and glittering by orgel's light. There was an awful lot of orgel, so I'm very surprised. Many orgels pleased my eyes and ears. In Otaru, I think this museum is the best trip place.
