My wife and I went there on the way back from Niseko. We stayed one night at this fine establishment.

Pro
-location -right across from JR Otaru station
-bfast - buffett style. Definitely worth getting
-onsen - free onsen (hot spring) in the hotel
-room - clean and nice view

Con
-rooms - a bit small

Conclusion - great hotel to stay a few days and see Otaru. Great service and amazing location

A stone's throw from train station, bus terminal and supermarket (great to stock up on drinks and snacks for a midnight snack). Room size was a tad small, but okay for two. Liked the outdoor onsen and the free tasty ramen at night.

This hotel is part of the "Dormy Inn" network, which means you'll be essentially staying at a business hotel. This also means that the rooms will be very cozy (but not to the point of suffocating) and the beds tiny (think college dorm room). The only difference with this facility (and thus the "Premium" moniker) is that is has a very nice onsen (hot springs) (has an outdoor bit, albeit without a view) and a great breakfast buffet.

With two indoor baths and two outdoor baths, the onsen is spacious, even for resort hotel standards. Since the hotel is located next to a JR station, there is no view from the outdoor onsen like some other resorts would have, but the outdoor lighting is a nice touch and you forget that there is no view (a word of advice - they do not have towels at the onsen, so you have to take your towel from the room down to the onsen. If you are planning on using the onsen multiple times, don't forget to bring back your towel and hang it up in your room to dry)

The breakfast buffet is simply amazing, especially if you like raw fish. There is a "make-your-own-kaisen-don (sushi bowl") bar, where you can pile up toppings such as salmon, squid, and ikura (salmon roe) on top of a steaming bowl of white rice to your heart's delight.

As others have mentioned, it is right in front of the JR Otaru station, a stone's throw away, so you can't miss it. Especially convenient if you are travelling by bus as the bus terminal is located right in front of the train station. Across the street from the hotel is a supermarket called Nagasakiya, which has a 100 yen store as well, and below the hotel is a drug store. This hotel has pretty much everything you can ask for, and the best part is that the rates are very cheap. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is interested in exploring the wonderful city of Otaru.

Just cross the street from JR station and you will reach the hotel.
Very clean room. The twin bed room is a bit small but I think is not so tight.
The bathroom is also small but adequate for us.
The onsen rooms are great, I really appreciate them.
They provide free ramen in dining room around 8 or 9 p.m. for every guest.
The staffs are friendly and can speak English well.

Perfect location being right next to the JR station and the top of the main street, comfortable and clean. The added bonus of an Onsen plus massage services make this an extremely well priced hotel.

Reception staff offered friendly advice on where to eat dinner (Hanagocoro, AMAZING food) and were curtious and polite.

My only gripe is that I couldn't figure out how to turn on the television, but in the end you shouldn't be watching tv while in Otaru anyway.

We stayed 3 nights in this great hotel. Located right by the train station, close to supermarkets and so on. The service was absolutely amazing, the hotel was spotlessly clean, but the best thing of all was the beautiful "hot spring" baths. Our room was smallish, but enough for two people, and very cosy. One of our best hotel stays in all of Japan.

This hotel is small and cosy. The hotel facilities are very new and it has indoor and outdoor hot spring. What impressed me is their breakfast and free ramen from 9pm to 10pm. The hotel is only one min walk from the Otaru JR station, but, if you need to go to the main tourist places in Otaru, you may need to take a taxi especially during winter.
