I found this hotel roomier than many other Japanese hotels, both in the bath and the room. The best thing of this hotel is that it is so conveniently located at the terminal, and it's a very good way to relax after a long flight, especially if you plan to skip Sapporo and travel to other sites. The breakfast is included and the quality is better than in other places with free breakfast. It also has free access to the airport spa ("on-sen") -- yes, there is one, on floor 4 at the terminal.

We loved how the hotel was right above where we landed in Sapporo airport. The lift to the hotel was accessible on the left hand corner near where the info counter as well as the shuttle buses counters. Even tho my booking listed as no breakfast included, we were pleasantly surprised that breakfast was included for free. Simple Japanese fare but some nice breads. But for the price the room is not very big but I guess the premium paid is for the location. I paid about US$155 for a triple booking thought Agoda. Also no wifi in the room which was a bumper. But since most people will only stay a night, it does not quite matter :) will stay again if I need to catch an early flight or arrive late in the night and catch an early bus to Niseko which is what I did this trip. Do note for those landing around 8pm, grab dinner before checking in as the shops all closed around 830pm. We were lucky to make the last order for MOS burgers.

booking was simple - via their website, no payment on booking, but payment upfront at check-in, pretty hassle-free. hotel was directly inside the airport (connected via both arrival and departure levels) - just a short walk to the main food/shopping/recreational areas. very near the pickup stop for the free shuttle to the Rera Outlet mall as well.

room rate comes with free simple no-frills buffet breakfast (porridge, breads, salads, rice, tamago, teas, coffees, etc) - and they don't charge extra for kids

room was a good size - sufficient space to open 2 big luggages - windows overlook the plane/runway, but surprisingly quiet, can't tell that we're in an aiport

staff speaks no english

had an amazingly good experience with housekeeping, our little one wet the bed (soaked mattress and comforter) - requested for them to help with the clean up (we stayed 2 nights) and we returned to the completely dry mattress and changed comforter - thank you! :)

highly recommend!

Room Tip: might want to ask for a room nearer the lift lobby, can be a bit of a long walk if you get the rooms...

We had an early flight so the tour group booked us into the airport hotel. The twin room we had was considered spacious as there was still room to move around even after adding in an extra bed. It is also big enough to put an airport push cart. The amenities were quite adequate, soap, shower gel, shampoo, toothbrush, comb and hair brush (surprisingly), hair dryer and even pyjamas, such that you don't even have to open your luggage. Although we are in the airport, we did not hear any sound from the planes. There are also many choices of restaurants on the 3rd floor of the airport, which is about 10 min walk away. The hotel breakfast buffet opened at 6am, and was pretty simple, not much variety. I think the hotel is not a bad choice especially when you need to catch an early flight.

The other reviewers explain this well, "only if you have an early flight" etc. Much better options exist in Sapporo — that means larger rooms, cheaper rates, better breakfasts, more friendly (and better English-speaking) service etc etc. in the main city of Hokkaido, half an hour away.

The hotel is now under new management but it is still in the middle of an airport that has poor food and locks down at 11pm at night. It's run by middle-aged men who only speak basic English — surprising given that this is an international airport.

The small room I occupied was clean and reasonably comfortable and did have WiFi of sorts. Free access is included to the rather luxurious 'hotspring' bathhouse on the 4th floor, but you really need to read Japanese to negotiate this place (lockers are indicated in hiragana order).

The main downside was breakfast: the bread was stale, the espresso machine was broken, the fruit salad was canned.

Poor or average? For the sake of kindness, I'll say average, or put it this way, not worth more than 5,000 yen max.

Room Tip: Try Nakamura-ya near Sapporo Station

The hotel was an average performer in all aspects, except for the room. The room was clean and not too small, however, once you open the door, there is a strong foul smell and it stays there even after going out for shopping.
I rate the room below average for the smell.

In agreement with other reviews, this place is just a place to stay if really needed be. The rooms are old and aged, and mine smelled like gutter. Nothing one can do, as the windows cannot be opened and I was unable to find controls to adjust the AC/ventilation.

Simply put, service sucks. I arrived tired around 1PM to be told I was not allowed to check in because it is not 2PM. Seriously?

Noise from the airplanes is considerable in my room. Hopefully, they will stop flying after 10PM. The TV only has Japanese channels.

Fortunately, there is the airport! The food selection is excellent and if you wander around the stores, you will get so many free samples that you will be set with sweets for the day.

The only reason my rating was not lower is the included access to the airport onsen (traditional spa). WARNING: if you have tattoos you will NOT be allowed to enter. In my case, my tattoos could be covered with sports tape, so after being decorated with tape all over I was allowed to enter. Very relaxing experience that offset the obnoxious behavior of the front desk.

No, unless I have to, I am not coming back.
