Whenever I go to Okayama to visit my ancestor's grave I choose this hotel. As described in many comments this hotel is directly connected to Okayama station. Just in front of this hotel there is a bus terminal bound for Okayama airport. It's convenient for both of people who use JR line and airplane.
The atmosphere of the hotel is nice and comfortable. The average room is not very spacious, but very clean. You can relax and avoid noise even though the station is very near.
The staff is all courteous and kind. If you want to upgrade your room, you can do it with a small amount except busy season.
I always have breakfast at the restaurant named KURIYA-SEN. It has the best view because of top floor location. You can enjoy buffet style breakfast with watching the scenery of Okayama city.
There are many shops and restaurants around the hotel. This hotel never cause you inconvenience.

This extremely comfortable hotel can be accessed directly from the railway station using a walkway and escalator. Staff, as in every hotel during this trip, were extremely cordial, attentive and courteous always. The room was a good size: clean, modern, comfortable. Wifi was complimentary. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel during our two day stopover but enjoyed a very good couple of cakes and tea one evening. Within the station next door are many other food options especially for breakfast or lunch. Many travellers visit this city to see the famous Korakuen Garden and nearby castle which are located easily on foot just beyond the main downtown area of the city, perhaps 20 to 30 minutes of easy walking on flat terrain from the hotel.

Their breakfast is very high quality; well presented and served at the top floor where you can enjoy good view of Okayama city.

It is very comfortable to stay here. You can ask for wifi access, too, a rare opportunity in Japan.

Room Tip: Ask higher floor.

We stayed here for a total of four nights (split into two separate stays). The quality of the room was good-- clean, comfortable and spacious by Japanese hotel room standards. Nice, comfortable beds and bath. The location can't be beat....you simply exit Okayama station (don't quote me but I believe it was the west exit), take an escalator down from the walkway and voila, you are at the hotel! Hotel staff command of English was quite good and, except for a mixup in which they didn't realize our luggage had already been delivered to the hotel before our arrival, we had no complaints about the service. We didn't eat at the hotel since there are numerous restaurants in and around Okayama station. Okayama is a great base city for travel if you want to take a number of day trips elsewhere. We took the train (using the JR rail pass, which is a great deal for non-residents!!!) and spent a day in Takamatsu (on Shikoku) exploring what are purportedly the largest covered shopping malls in all of Japan....I believe it because we spent six hours meandering through this shopper's paradise! Taxi fare to Korakuen garden is also reasonable....about 1000 yen. While in Okayama, it is a "must" to see neighboring Kurashiki; only 15 minutes away by train, Kurashiki has a pleasant and picturesque historic quarter with a canal, numerous stone bridges and weeping willow trees....beautiful! I would definitely stay at this hotel again if my travels take me to Okayama!

Enjoyed staying here, it was clean, nice room, nice bed and bedding, good view for a city view. Ere was a window between the bath and the bedroom, which I think was there so that the person in the bath could see e outside view from the bath. Helpful staf who spoke some English. Around 1000 yen to Korakuen by taxi. Good sushi place nearby. Didn't get name. Go out the front door, go to your left, cross the side street, continue walking straight, parallel to the front of the property of the hotel and going down the sidwalkt, about 100 yards. Sushi chef likes to practice his English and was accommodating. I'll add name if I find it. Didn't really use many amenities.

We stayed here after arriving from Australia. The hotels attached to the JR rail station via the overpass. Our room was lovely and a good sized bathroom for Japanese standards. We had arranged a special request for breakfast as we are both coeliac. The breakfast they served us in a private room was amazing. The hotel is centrally located and there's a convenience store right next to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Centrally located and very quiet with good standard in the bedrooms
