This is my first time visiting Kibitsu Shrine, just located on the route of Kibi bicycle way. Beside the main temple, there is an over millions of years old corridor must look. This corridor is now one of national treasures of Japan..

Large temple complex with many shrines. Everything is well maintained and situated nice upon a hill. Nice place to walk for 1 or 2 hours and pass by all different shrines.

Kibitsu shrine and it's surroundings are a stunning showing of the Japanese traditions and architecture. The surroundings are very variable and I love the overall mood in this place. I visited during a heavily rainy day and it wasn't a problem at all. I would even go and say that the rain made the area look oustandingly nice. On top the main shrine building, there are a lot of beautiful Shinto buildings and structures in the area, including a nice koi-filled pond. Nice play to walk and tour around. Definitely worth the visit!
