This hotel is convenient when staying in Kurashiki. Very close to the old town neighborhood with its canals and beautiful old houses and stores. Even so just a 10 minutes walk from the central station and restaurant area.

This hotel is well located in Kurashiki. It's Western-style and close to the old town (which is a MUST to visit). The hotel has the basic amenities and our breakfast was included. The staff barely speaks English, still they were very friendly.

Nice hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was very nice. The couch in the room looked a little old and dirty, but apart from that the room was clean. Wifi and air-conditioning worked perfectly. The old town is around the corner, and restaurants and convenience stores are close by. The train station is at walking distance.

The first room they gave me was really shabby. The carpet was coming up in places so a dangerous hazard in going to toilet in the dark. The water was not hot and could not be altered to a hotter level and the room was by the lift so noisy. I asked to change the room but nobody spoke English at the reception. They got the message though and gave me a bigger quieter room with better carpet and more sunlight. Rooms X18 and X17 I was in 318, seem to be larger. The location is great as it is by the entrance to the beautiful block “bikan” and it is cheap. The breakfast did not look so great so I did not pay the extra for it and there are so many interesting places to have breakfast in the area anyway.

This hotel is a perfect location and the staff is nice (please note that no one here spoke English). Outside that, I have nothing good to say. My back feels broken from the outdated mattresses. The Wi-Fi is spotty. There is no outlet by the bed (so couldn’t use my heating pad). We both tripped over the tiled carpet (which desperately needs to be replaced). The smell in the room varied from cigarette smoke, to fried food to who knows what... this place is in need of an update.
