I stayed this hotel because I was completely sold to the idea of having my own onsen (hot spring) in my room. When I got to the hotel, I jumped straight into the onsen in my room and it was everything I needed. Until 3pm, water level control is in effect and you can't really have much water in the tub (it may be a bit cold as onsen is outside). It becomes nagashi (water keeps running automatically without getting full) around 3pm ish, so I recommend that you get there around 3pm.
Our package deal included dinner at the hotel restaurant. When we got there, the food was already on the table. I think that's how a lot of Japanese restaurants do in order to be ready and efficient, but it's a bit odd to see such way of serving. Food was ok but I can't say it was fantastic.
Any event, I strongly recommend this hotel as it's worth the money if you like onsen. This is technically a hotel, but it can also offer the ryokan atmosphere.More
