“Excellent view of Mt Fuji”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

Finally, we were able to view Mount Fuji with clear view. We should have just come over to this beach right away without going to Nihondaira. The exception in this place is the beach that is not well maintained, full of rubbish on the beach like old television, drinking bottles etc.

“Summer Delight”
Reviewed April 16, 2014

This is place is very popular here in my place which is just about 15 - 20 minutes away. During summer, family groups and young ones usually spend their day to cool-off the heat. The "Miho no Matsubara park is just about 200 meters away and mostly older people take a walk while enjoying the relaxing smell of the Pine trees.

“Hagoromo-no-matsu (old pine tree) Shimizu”
Reviewed March 18, 2014

This is a landmark very old pine tree in Shimizu, Japan. Catch the bus out of station 3 at the Shimizu train station -- all these buses go to Hino Beach. Get off at the Hagoromo-no-Matsu Iriguchi bus stop which is about 25 minutes from the train station (360-yen), go across the street, down the lane at the traffic light and turn right then left. You’ll see a nice temple and also the start of the Kami-no-michi or God’s Road. It is a nice wooden walkway leading to the Hino beach area. The boardwalk is lined with beautiful pine trees. Continue on at the end and you’ll get to the Hagoromo-no-Matsu which is an old pine tree and then you’ll see the pebbly sand Hino beach. On clear days you can get very scenic photos of Mount Fuji from here.

“Miho no Matubara registered as a World Heritage Site”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

Miho no Matubara is a place where the legend of Hagoromo, the story which a man and a swan maiden lved each other, took place. The pine of Hagoromo is a symbol of Miho no Matubara. I visit there at least twice a year. This place is calm and relaxing. We can see Mt. Fuji from there when it's sunny. This landscape is very beautiful. I recommend it. The sunrise on New Year's Day is also great view. I never drink "amazake", a sweet alchoholic drink made froom fermented rice, without seeing the sunrise. When you come on New Year's Day, you should try it. It makes us to get warm. Now it is a world heritage. So there are more visitor than before. When you visit, you should not throw away garbage. We are responsible for protecting the great view.
