Stopped by for a drink and appetizer at the bar and we ended up ordering take out for later. The appetizer was great and the food we ordered to take home was the specials of the day and both were excellent and a great value with large portions.

“Great place-friendly at home atmosphere”
Reviewed May 28, 2014 via mobile

Great food and prices, pub fare and dinners. Nicely remodeled. Out door seating and bar on a covered deck. Nice place for large summer parties

“Sadly, not the place it used to be......”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

We have been regular patrons for years, until tonight. It didn't start out well when it took us over 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge us when we go in the door. On our way to the table the owners wife, who's never been accused of having a friendly personality, informed us that they had someone call in. I wanted to say that if they didn't close for weeks at a time twice a year, they might be able to keep the great waitresses they used to have. Once we were finally seated, it took what seemed like forever for our waitress to find us at the table. Perhaps it just SEEMED like forever because we were looking at the new menu. They have totally redone their menu. They have taken several things off the menu that we loved & raised their prices significantly. With a name like LaCucina (the italian word for kitchen) you would expect to see several Italian dishes. If I remember right there was three. Counting the special. For instance, they took off chicken parm and added a bacon cheddar burger. Now I will admit that sounds pretty good. But the price is $9. Doesn't sound THAT bad, until you read the fine print and see that fries are $2 extra. And I'm sorry, but La Cucina is NOT an $11 burger and fries place !!!! We just ordered a pizza, so it didn't take THAT long to get and thankfully it was good. But you don't have to be that good to make a decent pizza. However, the pizza was there and we had no napkins or sliver wear. I asked for some and after the second trip of watching the waitress come back out without them, I stole some off the empty table next to us. THANK GOD they still have Milky Way Cake !!!! Were it not for that I'm sure we would never be back. As it stands I'm quite certain that LaCucina will be removed from our regular rotation of restaurants.

“Very Good, We Call It "The Pavilion Place"”
Reviewed March 12, 2014

We have been going to this place for a very long time and when we used to live in Pattersonville, we ate here 1-2x per week, especially on Fridays in the Spring and Summer. The first few visits, we couldn't remember the name of the place, so we named it "The Pavilion Place" due to the Pavilion out front where people eat in nicer weather. The name has stuck and that is what we now called it. We were here more recently in the fall to have dinner.

The food has always been good and we LOVE the Friday specials, except you must get here early as they usually only have limited number of specials like the baked haddock. We used to call in the afternoon and they used to tell us we only have 15 specials this evening - strange since they were so popular. We usually get an entree and once we had a sandwich and once a pizza - all very good. Seating and getting served can be very frustrating at times, especially in the spring and early summer as it gets very busy.

The bar is also nice and the people friendly if you have to wait for a table. The prices are extremely reasonable for what you get for dinner.

“Overrated”
Reviewed October 19, 2013

Perhaps it was just a bad night there, but I found the service slow and the food unpalatable. The waitress did nothing but complain about the management and was bad-mouthing the local competition to me.
