Description: In 1980, the Raindancer Restaurant, located at 4582 Route 30, was established by Doreen and Walter Porath. This family-run business has grown considerably during the past 35 years. In an effort to stay current and better serve the community, the restaurant has had numerous additions, renovations and creative concepts that were implemented to keep things fresh. This constant improvement, combined with the old-fashioned notion of ample portions, quality ingredients, top-notch service and the community support we have continued to receive, has kept the Raindancer at the top of everyone's dining list throughout the years. At the Raindancer, we offer different menus for all occasions. Whether it's a quiet, romantic dinner, casual dining, take-out and party platters or to help you plan a party, the Raindancer is here for you. We have multiple dining rooms available to help make that special occasion something extra special. We offer a banquet menu that can be customized to fit your special occasion. We can accommodate for bereavement luncheons, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions or company business meetings. We are open year-round with the exceptions of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Memorial Day. For all other holidays, we offer dinner features such as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or a Mother's Day or Easter dinner for your family. Our dinner and lite fare (lunch) menus are available throughout the restaurant anytime. Choose from a selection of over 80 items on our menu and our daily feature board (Polish Night is every Tuesday). Plus, we offer an exceptional salad bar with breads baked in-house daily. If you plan to eat at any earlier hour, we offer an early bird menu seven days a week. The Raindancer also offers any of our menu items, party platters and features for take-out (except the early bird menu). Just call ahead and your order will be ready at our pickup window. And if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat, then join us in our cocktail lounge and enjoy great food, great atmosphere and a wide variety of wines and beer alongside one of our fireplaces. We offer over 80 Wines by the glass and 20 different beers on tap. The Raindancer Restaurant opens at 11:30 am, Monday through Saturday and at 12:30 p.M. On Sundays. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner or your next special occasion.

The food is very good. The staff is friendly. The buffet is a nice dining feature. I had the chicken cordon Bleu and it was really good. My husband had the chicken parm and it was good as well. The atmosphere was nice. The place was clean. All in all, we had a good experience!

Four of us arrived for a late lunch and sat at the bar where we were greeted and ordered our meal which arrived promptly. We ordered some specials as well as off the menu. Everything arrived hot and was very good. A large portion for the price.

Visited with friends for lunch around Noon on a weekday. The fare ordered was good however the wait time for the food and the service provided by the server (cannot name because she did not give her name) was not up to the usual standard we have come to expect at Raindancer. The restaurant was not busy and the server disappeared without any follow-up for water, drinks, ketchup, pepper, etc. We had to "hunt" someone down for ketchup as she left our table so quickly after food drop. The server even began removing items from the table before we were finished and didn't even ask if we wanted dessert. Perhaps she wanted us to leave - ok fine - but they took almost an hour to serve us (maybe some crackers or bread would have been nice if the food is going to take that long). Further, no apology was tendered for any of the above. Given the price point of $14 for a salad, at least make us feel like we are somewhat welcome - jeez. Indeed, Raindancer is a pricey comparative to other establishments in Amsterdam but it had always proved to be a lovely place to dine, however not sure I'd return given the lack of attention to service. Also, it would do the patrons good to turn the piped music down - nothing worse than having to yell at one another for 2 hours in an empty restaurant. I'm giving them 3 stars for the food and hoping they can improve on service.

My party of 5 was seated in the far left upper corner of the restaurant. There we found mold on the poorly carpeted floor. The table was never cleaned before we were seated. It took 30 min for our waiter to take our orders, then we waited 40 min for the orders to arrive....they were brought at different times and some of us had to sit and wait while another person had already finished their meal. It was vey pricy and the food quality was a B at best.

Arrived in the off-hours, 730 pm on a Thursday; so until the normal dinner crowd departed, service was minimal. Once people at other tables departed service became much better. Facility itself is kept cold in summer so bring a jacket. Salad and bread bar are excellent. We ordered the specials and the food portions were so large we had to take most home. Food taste was excellent.
