Description: In 1980, the Raindancer Restaurant, located at 4582 Route 30, was established by Doreen and Walter Porath. This family-run business has grown considerably during the past 35 years. In an effort to stay current and better serve the community, the restaurant has had numerous additions, renovations and creative concepts that were implemented to keep things fresh. This constant improvement, combined with the old-fashioned notion of ample portions, quality ingredients, top-notch service and the community support we have continued to receive, has kept the Raindancer at the top of everyone's dining list throughout the years. At the Raindancer, we offer different menus for all occasions. Whether it's a quiet, romantic dinner, casual dining, take-out and party platters or to help you plan a party, the Raindancer is here for you. We have multiple dining rooms available to help make that special occasion something extra special. We offer a banquet menu that can be customized to fit your special occasion. We can accommodate for bereavement luncheons, bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, receptions or company business meetings. We are open year-round with the exceptions of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Memorial Day. For all other holidays, we offer dinner features such as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or a Mother's Day or Easter dinner for your family. Our dinner and lite fare (lunch) menus are available throughout the restaurant anytime. Choose from a selection of over 80 items on our menu and our daily feature board (Polish Night is every Tuesday). Plus, we offer an exceptional salad bar with breads baked in-house daily. If you plan to eat at any earlier hour, we offer an early bird menu seven days a week. The Raindancer also offers any of our menu items, party platters and features for take-out (except the early bird menu). Just call ahead and your order will be ready at our pickup window. And if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat, then join us in our cocktail lounge and enjoy great food, great atmosphere and a wide variety of wines and beer alongside one of our fireplaces. We offer over 80 Wines by the glass and 20 different beers on tap. The Raindancer Restaurant opens at 11:30 am, Monday through Saturday and at 12:30 p.M. On Sundays. We look forward to seeing you for lunch, dinner or your next special occasion.

“Great salad Bar”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

I find Raindancer expensive, but visit often for banquets and early bird dinner specials. I enjoy the salad bar with a wide variety of selection including salads such as pasta, macaroni, potatoe, bean etc and always a nice selectoin of breads. I recommend the shrimp scampi as an entre with just right rice pilaf.

“I love being an Early Bird”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

Since it was my birthday, I wanted to eat out at someplace a little special. We enjoy the Sacandaga area and decided to attend a free concert at the bible camp. After reading the reviews we decided to try the Raindancer. The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Since we arrived at 4:30, we were in time for the early bird specials. Usually we share a meal to keep the price down when we eat out. No need. The prices were more than reasonable, and I had brought a cooler, so we kept the leftovers. Lots of families with children enjoying themselves. We were tucked away in the back and worried wait staff would ignore us, but service was prompt and attentive. A wonderful evening.

Four of us had a mid-day meal Sunday. Three of us had the prime rib dinner which comes with the salad bar or ceasar salad. Both were delicious, salad bar had many items to choose from and great bread. The Prime ribs were cooked to perfection and very little fat. The ice tea is served in a huge glass which requires no refills because you are lucky if you finish it. Our waitress was very good even though she was very busy. We couldn't find a fault. The prices for early bird specials can't be beat and they had a good selection.

“If you want some awesome comfort food, look no further!”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

This place ROCKS. We came here for an early lunch on a Saturday while staying at a nearby bed & breakfast.

The place was relatively empty for lunch (it is HUGE inside), but there seemed to be a couple of baby or bridal showers going on for some locals. You can tell that the place probably gets PACKED at night.

The appetizer sampler was full of amazing mozzerella sticks (they tasted homemade as opposed to frozen), breadsticks stuffed with buttajuice cheese, delicious hand-battered chicken fingers and some SERIOUS stuffed mushrooms.

My bf got amazing ribs that fell off the bone with fresh cut fries and I got the roast beef wrap that came with au jus and more amazing fries.

And our drinks came in gigantic jars! Loved it all!

The service was great, the atmosphere awesome and the food perfect. HIGHLY recommend if you're looking for some country comfort-style yumminess!

Our waitress was a delight, service was fast, salad bar plentiful.
We enjoyed our meals. I had Lazy Lobster which was good and husband had a Ribeye, also good.
