“Seen better days”
Reviewed April 14, 2012

The Motel is conveniently located off the thruway and was a good price for the night. It has obviously seen better days. The room was a no-smoking, no-pet room with a safe for $1.50 a night. The temperature control worked well. The floor between the bed and wall was dirty and had not been vacuumed. The sheets were well worn, with small holes along the edge. The blanket appeared clean but previously stained. The bed was lumpy as were the pillows. The towel were very worn and scratchy. We skipped the breakfast. It was merely with make your own pancakes and assorted cereals. Seemed safe enough for an overnight.

Teenaged daughter and I stayed at this property for the last night of our two-month cross-country adventure. We'd stayed at a number of different hotel chains, which included a fair number of Super 8s. Super 8s are a low-end hotel in the range of chains. But, basically, you get what you pay for.

Impressions: The hotel is located out in the boonies, but conveniently right near access to I-90. There is a restaurant next door; but it was closed (and I don't mean just for the night.)

The room was actually better than what we'd come to expect at Super 8s. However, the furnishings were awkward -- a 4-foot-long desk between the beds (perhaps something picked up from an auction of a former professionals' building?!). There was a frig but no micro. The room did not contain a closet; simply a three-foot-long hanging rod in the corner of the room. Towels were AWFUL. While we'd stayed at worse, this property needs a top-to-bottom makeover.

Breakfast offerings were satisfactory: make-your-own waffles, cereals, bagels, donuts, juices and coffee. However, there were no plates (8:15 a.m.). Hotel management had put up a sign, "Sorry for the inconvenience," but what good is THAT?! What is a guest supposed to put their bagel, donut or waffle on?! An employee should have been sent out on a run for more plates. And another employee should have been cleaning the lobby and registration areas, both of which were messy and in need of cleaning/straightening.

This is a standard Super 8 Motel. The Room was clean. Bathroom was OK. Both the Room and Bath are not new and there are indication for that but you need to look in order to find. The breakfast is basic and contains several types of bread, Serials and Drinks. The location of the hotel is near a Highway. You can hear from the Room the sound of the road but it is not too high. In general for the money you pay you get great value.

I paid $80 a night and stayed for ten days. When I checked in I asked if I could have my airline ticket printed for departure and they said absolutely. Then when I checked out they refused. Desk clerks cared more about watching TV than tending to business. I had to drive several miles to get my airline boarding pass printed and stressed out. When I got home and complained to the parent company and gave bad reviews only then did the owner constact me and begs for a better review which he bribed me for one night refund. None of the maids spoke English and the owner was hard to understand. Cheap conduct for $800 business transaction I paid. I booked the motel weeks earlier. Then I learned there was a motel within eyesight for half the price and much nicer. NEVER AGAIN!

Room Tip: Keep driving...

Stopped late at night to rest with myself, husband and two children. Upon getting the room .... one bed was severly stained, refridgerator did not work, breakfast bar was wiped out tub did not drain after 45 minutes. When heat was turned on there was a smell of smoke. On top of that when i called the GManager in the next day to ask for an explaination/ refund he replied with a bunch of excuses, no appologies, and a 800 number that brought me back to the front desk instead of the owner. And stated that the owners job was not to call me back. and requested that i dont call his boos beacuse HE MIGHT GET FIRED! really.

With a coupon for two adults and two kids very good value for money, nice big room, nice staff, break fast not bad at all, good for a stopover on the way.
This was the first cheap hotel we slept in and were pleasantly surprised.
We coudn't find anything to do in the area at night.
