Located close enough to the main road, but it was a very quiet, relax and cozy place to stay.
Wonderful food, onsen (hot spring spa) with cobbles at the bottom of the pool !
I like the pictures on the wall, it was taken by great Japanese photographers.
Best way to go to Pension Silflay is by car, but it is easy enough to go by bus either from Matsumoto or from Toyama.
Staff is friendly and he knows a bit English.
Owner of the pension is a fan of the novel, Watership Down.
The name of the pension, Silflay, means go outside to feed in the novel in Lapine.
(Lapine is the language used by the rabbits in the novel)
Shared toilet, but it is very clean, like most of the Japanese Pension.
Room is not big but cozy with heated floor.
Well decorated hot spring spa!
