The location just opposite the Kanazawa station which is so easy when you arrive anytime. The staffs are so friendly and helpful even some speak a little less English. Breakfast is very good and more then enough varieties compared to other hotels even compared to a five star hotel where we stayed in smaller city in Japan.

One night in Kanazawa to visit the very beautiful gardens. Hotel is very close to both railway station and bus stop for city loop bus. Staff were very friendly and helpful , putting our bags in the room and escorting us to the room when we returned after sight seeing. Room a little old , but very clean, and no Wi Fi access. There is a convenience store next door and a funky bar just down from that. We had a drink there ,and enjoyed their rather retro decore and very old movies, plus they had free Wi fi. There is a supermarket upstairs at the station where you can pick up a heated meal or some fruit and yoghurt for breakfast if you are on a budget.

I stayed 3 nights with a small tour group. Location to the main train & bus stations is great & it allows easy walking access to places to eat. It is a large business hotel with lots of rooms. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of both Eastern & Western style foods. It was replenished as needed and provided plenty of options. Free Wifi in the large lobby but not in the rooms.

The entire Hotel is old & dated. The room size was reasonable for a single person with a bed and a half, it would have been very crowded with 2 people. The carpets were badly stained and there was a thick band of gray dust/dirt at the wall around the entire carpeted floor. Bathroom was small & efficient. Plenty of soap, shampoo & conditioner in the large shared pump bottles. Unfortunately there was a great deal of mildew stain around the sink & in the shower/tub area which was at eye level when sitting in the deep tub.

I requested a nonsmoking room but the ventilation system filled my room with cigarette smoke from adjoining rooms. The windows were the operable kind but the hotel had them screwed shut so no fresh air could be allowed in. The emergency exits to the stairways on my floor were locked and prevented one from going down the stairs.

A place to stay for one night but I can not recommend it for an extended stay.

Nice comfy hotel with slightly larger than usual rooms. However they look dated and in need of a makeover. Wifi is non-existent which was a major turn-off.

Hotel has a car park which is useful for loading/unloading baggage.

Location is good and is very near to the train station.

The hotel is very close to the Kanazawa train station and great tourist sites, but it has some negatives: the rooms are starting to be worn, the furniture dated and the air conditioning is non-existent. The wireless Internet is free, but it is only in the hotel lobby and there is no gym or fitness center. The breakfast is decent, no complaints there and the front desk staff is very helpful when needed. The hotel is a good value for the traveler, but it has limitations. The local is very nice when you need it as a tourist.

Staff helpful and courteous. Location is good as it is close to the train station. However, the room that we were assigned to was horrible. There was built up mold all along the bathtub, all over the shower walls, and around the sink which was cracking. Attached pictures show the extent of the mold, as I just wiped the towel along the corner of the bath tub. Obviously housekeeping never even washed it. The soap dish was rusty. Carpet was stained, window sills dirty with its paint peeling off. The wiring behind the bed stand left much to be desired. WiFi is only available in the smoky lounge area. Mattress springs were an irritant all night. The reflective surface on the bathroom mirror was worn off.

As you are exiting Kanazawa train station, keep walking straight and look up. You can't miss Kanazawa Miyako Hotel. Big sign. So the location is fantastic for those arriving by train. It's a little bit of a walk further into town to find restaurants but no more than 1km. The rooms were large enough, the beds comfortable. The decor was a little old. Old by Japan standards anyway. So 90's? Really not an issue, for the price I thought this hotel was very good value and very comfortable. There was a wedding in the lobby which was a special treat!
