The hotel is reasonably new, rooms are convenient and clean.
Each room has space for four people, set up with bunkbeds. The staff is friendly, but their English is not great. The hotel,is situated in the centre. Close to the gardens and 15 minutes walk to the railway station.

This hotel was easy to access from the train station on the bus line. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had cool, modern design and the bathrooms were my favorite of all the places we stayed in Japan. The toilet seat even opens automatically when you walk in the room. We were a family of 4 staying in this room and it was TINY. We had one suitcase in the narrow hallway, one balancing on a counter and the other next to the toilet on the suitcase rack. The size of the room forced up to be neat, but a larger room (like some photos on the website showing 4 futons) would have been better. They offer laundry on the 6th floor, which was great for our half way point during our trip.

Room tip: If you plan to do laundry, ask for a room on the 6th floor.

This is a very hip modern hotel full of European and Australian tourists.Although perhaps trying a bit too hard with all the rough concrete and timber interiror and tea making spaces, it was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed, including laundry. Breakfast buffett was pretty good but not extensive, We had a huge beautiful room for 3 adults so it was quite pricey, but amenities, bathroom etc were more like a luxury hotel. Staff were very nice with adequate English. The area is about a 10 minute walk to shopping and restaurants and the gardens, and about 20 minutes from the train station. There are some lovely canal-filled neighbourhoods nearby. I'm giving 4 stars only because the room was on the main road and very loud traffic all night kept us awake.

Room tip: Avoid rooms on the main road if you are a ligh sleeper

What a groovy modern hotel. We LOVED the bunk beds. Best sleep we had in Japan by far. Great bathroom, great design immersion - we felt like we were in Ex Machina (the movie), minus the homicidal robots, of course. Our room didn't have windows to speak of which was great for sleeping, but don't expect a view. Great for a family because you can stow your luggage under the lower bunks, leaving the floor clear. One tiny drawback was no reading lights in the lower bunks. Passable buffet breakfast in the morning - nothing special, but nice to not have to trek out of the hotel if you have kids.

Room tip: Bunk beds were super comfortable and allow for luggage to be stored underneath.

We stayed here for 2 nights during a recent family trip to Kanazawa. The hotel location is excellent-within easy walking distance of many interesting places. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel style is minimalist modern-it was very clean and our room and bathroom were well appointed, except for places to hang or store clothing. Our beds were mattresses on elevated platforms-great for sleeping but a challenge to get up from at our advanced age.We used the communal tea table on the 5th floor for family drinks one late afternoon. The included breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold items. Overall the hotel was excellent value in a great location.
