The price $60 US, which may vary from $50-100 depending on who you book through, was right for budget travelers especially since it included a more than filling breakfast buffet. I had miso soup, scrambled eggs, tiny sausages, potato and macaroni salad, yogurt, aloe vera, some red and orange pickled? vegetables, rice with nati topping, choice of juices, coffee or tea and various breads, It is close to the transit station which helped a great deal as it was snowing when we arrived. We were allowed to leave our luggage before official check in time and took the nearby bus to Kanazawa Castle and Gardens, which were beautiful covered in snow. A bargain at $5 for both! We also got a one day local bus pass. There was evidence of a bit of mold near the window, but we did not smell anything and just opened the window a bit to air out the room.
If coming in the winter bring waterproof shoes to walk through slushy snow on the streets and sidewalks and at the gardens! I resorted to using the plastic bags over my socks that we got to carry our shoes while touring the castle.
I would definitely return.More
