Visited the Autumn Festival. Had trouble booking a hotel while 2 months before our visit, so book early. Be prepared for crowds. Don't forget to see the lantern bit in the evening.

We visited during the autumn exhibition that included many very ornate traditional festival floats and huge drums. The exhibition hall is a very large dome where you can both view the large intricate floats and then watch puppet displays involving a succession of each of the displays inside. Cameras and videos are permitted so take your best camera and video device, you will be well rewarded.

The title says it all - these floats are simply amazing. The skill in building them is quite something. There is a short film accompanying the exhibition which was very informative. The ticket to this exhibition included entry to another in the adjacent building of models of temples and shrines.

Such amazing floats, huge and not sure I would want to be pulling. Ornate, colourful and quite exquisite, well worth a visit. Also a lovely town to walk around, shop, eat and enjoy.
