Good location with all main attractions and restaurants within a 15 minute walk and close to the train station too. Staff are very friendly and have loads of recommendations. The day trip to Kamikochi was very well organised and good fun. Would recommend as the views were beautiful and the footbaths were much needed after all of the walking. We had private ensuite room on top floor (406) and it was large compared to other rooms we stayed in whilst in Japan. Showers were good and hot and generally clean but you have to rent towels if you need one (¥70). Wifi and free internet good. Kitchen and laundry also good. Would recommend and was a good place to meet others visiting Japan.

Nice located a few block from the station with friendly helpful staff. Stayed here two times and tries both the japanese styled room and normal beds. Both greats! Ask the staff about good restaurants nearby - there's one really good at the station - teppanyaki style.

Great, great value! Comfortable and clean facility and very friendly staff who want to help you in your travels. The showers could probably feel a bit more comfy but overall the facilities are sufficient and at about US$26, who can beat this price for the quality. I recommend it!

Clean and airy this place gives you a good "montainfeeling". You are well received, in Japanese or English, by a person who are eager to make you discover the region (the food is delicious and the onsen = hot bath just have to be experienced). I only regret staying for just one night!

Five minutes walk from the bus/train station. Twenty five minutes walk to Hida village and five minutes to sights in town.
Well equiped kitchen.
Small rather dark room with showers on the other floor.
Good Internet.

All the pros of the other J-Hoppers (well, the Osaka one at least) - inexpensive, clean, modern, lovely staff who will go the extra mile as a matter of course. Very close to the station, and a particularly nice feel to the place - quieter than the Osaka one and a more chilled, rural feel.
2500 yen or thereabouts and all the facilities you could want.

We stayed there for 3 nights.
It has it all - a good kitchen, super friendly staff who speak fluent English, comfy, spacious rooms (we took the double private room with shared bathroom) and style.

You got two computers in the 'lobby' and many rental options - from umbrellas, to shoes and much more. We got a coupon for a discounted trip to Shirakawa-Go as well, defiantly worth it.

Also, if you stay 3 nights or more you can to choose a "prize" - post cards, bicycle rental for a day, and two more things which I forgot.

We met there many nice people who joined us hiking in Takayama.

To sum things up - worth the value, would defiantly go back there again.
