the hotel is close the JR station and breakfast selections are more than I thought. I thikn the room size is the same as those economic hotels in Japan. You can enjoy hot spring at its 1st. floor. If you will spend most of your time outdoor, this hotel would be a nice choice. I was lucky to get a special rate for foregner on Sunday, 3830 yen.

This hotel is better described as an upmarket backpackers hostel than a hotel. If you normally stay in backpackers you will probably be very impressed.

Our twin room consisted of a bunk bed. The room was too small to put our bags in, so we had to use one of the beds for our bags.

The bathroom is exceptionally small. Roughly half the size of your standard Japanese bathroom, you can shower, brush your teeth and use the toilet simultaneously. Not Joking.

The breakfast was unacceptable.

We travelled to 7 cities in Japan staying in average 2-3 star hotels (e.g Tokyu Inn, Daiwa Roynet) This hotel was not of a similar category and we checked out after 1 night to move to the Best Western (only an extra USD15.

Room Tip: Try the Best Western

This hotel is standard business hotel fare in Japan. For an extra $15 we were able to stay in a double room as opposed to a 6 bed dorm. We had our own bathroom including heated toilet with all the buttons, T.V, fridge and in-room internet connection (although it can be a little slow). The location is right near the JR station. Breakfast is included with the basic room price which you don't find everywhere. The hotel even has a hot spa available free of charge, with women and men having separate times to use it. For a budget hotel room in Japan I can thoroughly recommend this place
