During our short stay in Takayama, we had dinner at Suzuya. The menu has English names. Vegetarian dishes are highlighted. The staff was very friendly and supportive. We cooked the food on our table, which made dinning quite an experience. The restaurant in centrally located.

By the way, our motto has two, one is customers are tasted our meal and the other thing is more friendly serving. Because, when I had lived foreign country, a shop master had helped me and friendly, I was very impressed. So I cannot forget the memory.

A beautiful setting with a Japanese garden view. Food brought to your table with various types of braziers to cook the meat. Wait staff pleasant with a good understanding of English and so friendly and welcoming.

火鉢は高山ではメジャーな物で、正式名称は「飛騨焜炉（コンロ）」と言います。
大変使い勝手が良く、アルコール燃料、炭等を手軽に使う事が出来るという事から、日本全国に少しずつですが浸透し始めております。
お客様が居心地が良い空間を出来る限り作るという考えがございます。
まあたまに忙しく混雑する際は難しいですが、、、、

You wrote braziers that name is “hida-konro”.(Hida= this area’s old name)
It it very available for cooking. We use alcohol fuel and charcoal inside that is for BBQ, alma and something. So this convenience is good, it has been spread all of japan (little by little)
And we think restaurant service must be make a comfortable space for customers. This is our motto.
Well,,, sometimes when we are busy,,, it is very difficult… as possible as we can!! Just effort!

Long time ago, when I was in another country, I was young so I become a homesick. I still remember the restaurant where the owner and staff were very worm and kindness. It is one of my good memory.

We ordered the double beef set menu and it was amazing. Hida beef cooked on charcoal in front of you with a tasty sauce and vegetables, like soy beans and mushrooms. You have also pickles based on cucumber and ginger, miso soup and a rice bowl. It was the perfect combination.
A bit more expensive than others in takayama but worth it.
The service was really lovely and nice.

最近飛騨牛の魅力について考える事が多々あります。どのように調理すれば味を引き出せるか？
全てはお客様の「美味しい！」の一言に日々助けられており、勇気を頂いております。
ちなみに漬物の事を書いたお客様はcarolina m様が初めてでございます。
元々は白菜、蕪（根野菜）を中心としておりましたが、苦手な方が多かったので皆様に馴染のある生姜やキュウリを使うようになりました。
濃い味を食べた後にリフレッシュするのでとても好評です。
値段については、、、、参考にして、努力改善をいたします。

Recently we think hida-beef many times, cause how do we cook it for customers would say “tasty”. The word help and encouraged us very very important word.
By the way carolina m are first person what wrote about pickle. Originally we served cabbage and roots, but somebody is weak them. So we had changed familiar cucumber and ginger. It is popular after ate strong taste for refresh in mouse.
The price…… we try to refer to advice and improve.

We went there for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. The food was fresh and served over a hot pot in front of you. You had to do the cooking of the meat and vegetables. It was a fun experience.
