Lots of work going to to rebuild and restore, but a nice couple of hours and a very entertaining visit. A must.

five floors with history dating back to 1600 with display of living and conference rooms, kitchen utensils, and room decor. It was a fascinating visit to this place.

Nagoya Castle will look even better in a year or so with the rebuild of the surrounding buildings now underway. While they are being built though, you can still tour the immense castle and beautiful grounds. The gardens can be spectacular at certain times of year.

Originally built in 1610 but completely destroyed by B-29 bombings in May 1945. It was rebuilt in 1960. The outside is interesting to see, however the inside is not what you would expect. There is nothing old or castle looking about the inside. You are inside a 1960’s museum. There is a panoramic view of the city from the top floor. I would not suggest going out of your way to see the castle but if you are in Nagoya, stop by and see at least the outside. It is located right in the city. 360 view from top floor. Cost 500 yen to see the inside.

Far superior to similar Osaka castle.

Should be noted, like Osaka Castle it is not really a castle but a recreation that is a museum on the inside. However the exhibits in this museum are pretty entertaining. Didn't disappoint.
