“Very convenient and luxurious hotel”

The Marriott Associa is the equivalent of a JW Marriott, in my opinion. It is located in the Nagoya JR station so it is easy to get to via the Nagoya subways that stop in he station as well as Japan Rail. It is located on the southeast side of the station, nearest to the Hirokoji gate. There are many signs that have the direction of the hotel in English.

The lobby is on the 15th floor. The hotel, like most in Japan, are pretty fastidious about the 2pm check-in time, although we were allowed to check-in about two hours early as a Marriott Executive Platinum guest.

The room we had was on the 45th floor with an expansive view of Nagoya. The room was huge for a Japanese hotel. It was very clean and very nicely furnished. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom had a large sink, the toilet, a bathtub and a separate shower enclosure.

We had access to the Executive Lounge. Breakfast there was very good with a good selection of hot and contintental items. The cocktail service had a good selection of wine, beer and liquors. The food choices were pretty limited though.

Room Tip: See if you can get one overlooking the east side with a view of Nagoya Castle.

This hotel is centrally located right next to the JR Nagoya Station. Connected to the hotel is Takashimaya where the basement held an array of excellent takeaway food. Lots of branded shopping opportunities. Underground shopping is also quite amazing, with it's many variety of shops.

This is my 4th time at Nagoya Marriott and their service has been very good. I would recommend for first timer to use this hotel visiting Nagoya when riding bullet train to Nagoya. It's connect to the train station and there are so many store in the large complex that you don't need to go anywhere else.

I would also recommend to pay for access to executive lounge/level. Yes, it's more, but the restaurant at the hotels are usually full from locals and there are long lines. If you want to, you should make reservation in advance, but just go down to the station level, there will be plenty of other places to eat.

Room Tip: pay and upgrade to executive level, you will get bigger room plus access to the lounge. breakfast is...

Stayed only 1 day. Had to go to toyota. Great hotel, and perfect for travellers, access to subway and shinkansen. The room is regular for a big chain, clean, confortable and silent. Definetly would recommend.

This has to be one of the best hotel I have ever stayed and I am a platinum marriott member and gold for hilton. First, the location is awesome. It is right on top of the main train station. It was great because after dragging out luggage around from airport to other city and then to Nagoya, it was a nice break to be able to just get to the hotel room within 5 minutes. The room was great size and we had an awesome view of the city. The pool was awesome and the spa was excellent. The business center provide nice view and free drinks and food. The hotel is right at the center of this city and 1 blocks away from everything in each direction. If you stopping by Nagoya, should definately try to visit the Toyota museum.

Room Tip: If you have tattoos, make sure you cover them up before going to the pool or they wont let you use i...

The Marriott Associa is located directly over the train station and adjacent to the subways in Nagoya. Therefore, the hotel is perfect for travelers. Easy train access from Nagoya Airport. Excellent customer service and spotless rooms. 36th floor business lounge staff are great and cater to every need. 12th and 13th floor restaurants allow you to sample many tastes from the region at different price points. Shopping on floors 2 through 11 has about everything. Go out for desert and lunch on floors 1B and 2B. Great views of the city skyline and walking distance to Nagoya Castle.

What can I add that hasn't been written. The Marriott is centrally located in Nagoya, all roads lead here. The service is wonderful and polite and clean and kind and tolerant. Eating here is a bit pricey. But if you go to the 12th floor, there are lots of choices(at least 40).

There are nearby malls, restaurants, bars, and upscale shops. Its on the rails to Tokyo and about a 40 minute drive from Chubu Centrair so a great option for getting to Tokyo.

Outside of few English language TV choices I can't think of any negatives about this Marriott. Even the elevator was cool.
