“Mass-Market Luxury: great building, great location, no charme, no atmosphere, bad service”

LOCATION
it's really ON the beach: unbeatable

SWIMMING POOL
It has the best swimming pools I've seen, they have also a bar inside the water!!! so while you swim you can grab a beer ;-)

ROOMS
rooms are luxurius, with an amazing view of the sea, and a small balcony

FOOD
we tried the lebanese restaurant: expensive and not good at all. Breakfast in the room was nice, but insanely expensive (25 euro for a couple of pancakes is not worth it)

SERVICE AWFUL!!!!
so why the 3 stars? we've booked a double room and when arrived they wanted to give us a twins room and link the beds, like you do in hostels. after a big fight we get the double room, not with sarcastic jokes from the reception;
towel-robe in the room was dirty;
the water in the shower didn't go down: we call to fix it, they tried to do it, but then there still was 3 inches of water floading the shower cabinet

they are not big problems, but they are if the hotel is a 5 STAR hotel and you pay such prices!

Besides it has no charm at all, you could be here in aqaba or in africa or in usa, you won't notice the difference....

Room Tip: with sea view, on 5th floor, they are awesome

Out timing was not great perhaps, as this resort was full of families with no end of chubby kids willing to bomb dive you without warning. The breakfast buffet experience required more patience than most, not because of the service or food, but because of the overwhelming number of people competing to load their plates and kids screaming. The room was neat, clean and well presented. Check in and checkout smooth enough. This is just not a place to make you feel special or delivery boutique experience if that is what you are after

This resort was great, the hotel had everything that it promised and more. the beach was clean with plenty of seating area withthe lovely touch of giving each resident a ice bucket with cold bottlesof water with the towel hire(very nice touch).
the hotel was great with lovely rooms and great spa and gym, i loved the iced herbal tea available at the gym(another lovely touch)
but the best thing was the staff, they were efficient, helpful and friendly, i must mention Mary in the lounch upstairs and the great service she gave us when we dined there also the chef.
i stayed at thsi resort seven days and i wish i stayed longer as i really enjoyed my stay there well done.

Room Tip: choose a sea facing room as the other side is a building site but i dont think any rooms face that s...

Aqaba is Jordans answer to Miami beach. So depending on if you like that sort of thing is if you'll like this hotel. Great big pool, beach frontage, access to jet skiing etc.

But on the downside it's kids arama. No a location for couples, unless you like thousands of kids.

So for the two fomus it asn't the greatest stay, although thats not a reflection on the hotel itself, whcih for what it is, it's pretty good.

This hotel is extremely amazing, the rooms are the best I've seen ever!! and the food is so amazing!
the pools are extremely beautiful for kids, and the whole family. And the beach is breath taking and very clean. I went there a lot of times, and every time I enjoy my stay.

Jordan is very nice people are very welcoming there and that is one of the best things there.We were family of three members (adult child) so we enjoyed both beach and pool which were extremely clean and well maintained.I noticed that staff is very young :)),polite and friendly.Food is more than good and well preserved.Cooks are great and I would like to greet and say Thanks specialy to Mr. Adel and his staff cooks -Tayseer,Ahmed who made wonderful omelettes,Mu'tasem,Ms Hanan, I know will forget someone-please forgive me-everybody were great!Hope management will know how to appreciate my review...I would,also,like to ask management to think about free of charge internet in whole hotel as it is very important for guests and is very expencive in this hotel.Also soft drinks and water should be cheaper (at least during dinner in restaurants-people would drink more!).Thank you for wonderful vacation!

We visited the Intercon in Aqaba lately. The rooms are spacious, clean, with beautiful sea view. the reception people were friendly and very helpful. The pool was very nice, well maintained and the bar at the pool is really good. the sandy beach was always clean and the long chairs were confortable. The service at the beach was very good and the GM was overseeing the beach activities on a warm crouded week-end. The food was great and diversified at the restaurants and the spa area was wonderfull. In all one cannot but to notice that the hotel is very well managed and controlled to provide the best service one should get in Intercon. Very friendly atmosphere in Aqaba for relaxation.
