I visited Papaya two years ago and was happy with it, except for the pervasive smoking which is allowed. I think standards have remained the same, and there is a wider menu: the cooking is good and careful, the decor is very "Jordanian," and the prices are quite good. Sadly, there is no improvement in smoking situation. Alas, all of Jordan is polluted by cigarettes, and Papaya also suffers this toxicity.

Well, it wasn't a very pleasant experience, we were on a rush, the food took so long to be served, not very high quality, more like a decent, but the price is high compared to the quality and service.
If you don't speak Arabic, and you're on a rush, this is not the place you wanna dine in.

Food wise, The haloumi salad and grilled haloumi were the best we've tasted on our holidays and for a vegetarian the pizza was perfect. Likewise I couldn't fault the charcoal grilled sea bream - just delightful. Keep up the good work!!

The new Calamari & Rice dish is simply awesome. Can't stop ordering it. Also love the new oriental dishes, especially the Okra dish. Hope you'll add more. One of my all time favorites is the Seafood Soup, and also the Seafood Platter. Love the spices on it. Your staff, as usual, are courteous and friendly. They always make us feel at home. Our guests from Amman and overseas always remember the delicious meal they ate at Papaya. Keep up the great work guys! Love, love, love your new menu,
