Nice, quite and clean place to stay, I enjoyed this place more than some 3-4 start hotels. It’s a family run hotel, managed by Aamer and Lilia. It only has a limited number of rooms with two nice swimming pools which makes it a perfectly comfortable place to stay. I mostly interacted with Aamer, he was extremely cooperative and helpful, he really went all the way to make our stay super exciting by helping to arrange Diving and Semi-Submarine Boat Trip in the Red Sea.
this place is a total scam! the pictures and description don't match the actual location. It is a big mess. The bathroom isn't even in the room and neither is the shower. There are stalls for everybody to share. The view is definitely not ocean view
Also we ordered a crib and specified that it needs to be ready on arrival.
The owner clearly got our reservation from Booking.com but chose to ignore our request and went ahead and made up excuses blaming us for not ordering a crib or not following up with her etc.
We didn't even stay the night she was so rude. Got up and left to a different location
I strongly suggest you if you are looking for a hotel in Aqaba. This is family-run russian hotel and best choice in its area. Owners are trying their best if you ask something or need their help. And dont forget to try their fish cooked with secret Aqaba formula and spicies.
Very clean, cozy atmosphere. They have small pool and enough to relax.

Firstly, let me say that the owner was very welcoming and friendly. The wifi was good and the breakfasts were great. With a few minor changes SSC would be a star rather than struggling. Firstly, I would say that it seemed like it needed some staff to assist the owner. The owner was wonderful but seemed to be trying to do too much. For example, when we arrived there was no one at reception because the owner was gardening (and garden was very nice), then- perhaps because it was holidays, she was trying to look after 3 small children (maybe age 5-8). It certainly felt more like a homestay than a hotel. The cooked breakfasts were delicious and much nicer than those in most of the other hotels in Jordan, but having the children playing around detracted from the breakfast, for me- I am sure some people might enjoy having children around. The other reason I think they need staff is that a handyman would have been able to fix the sliding doors which were the main entry to our room. Most of the first night was spent killing mosquitoes - I killed over 30, with no exaggeration. The problem is the sliding doors do not close perfectly and the small gap is apparently plenty big enough to allow mosquitoes in, and they made their way in all night. The next day I found this gap and blocked it and this resolved the problem- but the next guests will no doubt have the same problem, and I am sure some did in the past- yet this issue has never been fixed. 30+ mosquitoes in your room is not a good night. I think one of the most objective evaluations is would I stay there again? I stayed at one other place on the same street and preferred that, but with few minor changes I could recommend SSC. The owner certainly is trying very hard to give her guests a good experience and I wish her success.
We have stayed in Southern Star Club with my parents in the beginning of June.We booked bungalow for 3 adults, but hotel owner kindly provided for us 2 bungalows. Lilia (hotel owner) is most welcoming person we ever met. She friendly gave us all stuff and dishes for bbq and many important advices like how/where to eat or buy food to prepare it on bbq. We were feeling ourselves so comfortable like we came to our friends and they kindly provided us their country house. Our breakfast was amazing as well. Lilia has ordered for us fresh and nice local Arabic food. Hotel is new and very clean. Closest beach (takes 5-10 minutes by walk) is fantastic. I mean beauty which you can see under water. No need to swim far, you will see corals, fishes,octopuses, turtles in 1 meter close to coast. If you plan just swimming and rest on the beach without snorkeling and diving, this place is not best choice, it s complicated to swim without mask because of underwater denizens as such as sea urchins and fire corals. Let me mention only one small problem we have faced, we could not find hotel easy, because it does not have yet any banner with name. It is located in same are with Darna Village, Bedouin Moon hotel etc, which you can see from main road; there are many small hotels and diving center concentrated in this area,
