We visited just to snorkel, but got much more! A lovely beach, a cafe and restaurant and a juice bar and the best part of all- a superb reef right when you went into the sea. I was just blown away by the variety of corals and the fish around the vast reef, right at this beach. The professional dive shop outfitted us with snorkeling gear quickly and reasonably. We spent a perfect afternoon here.

We visited here on a tour from our cruise ship with the objective of snorkelling in the Red Sea. The equipment was ok but the place seemed rather messy. Once in the water the experience was brilliant, lots of fish and coral to photograph and lots of big, purple, harmless jellyfish – you do need to be quite self sufficient though as little assistance was given once you were in. I cramped twice and nobody seemed to notice or care. The beach was also messy and very, very hot after the cool of the water. The big let down was the rest of the resort, after watching the staff serving food and bacteria, I would never, ever eat here, the standard of food hygiene was woeful and the whole place desperately required a deep clean. A very tired place.
TOP TIP: Good fish – but don’t eat them.
