This was a really nice hotel, near the Marina and the beach, the rooms were quite luxurious after where we had been staying. Breakfast was nice as well and the staff were really lovely.the price was incredible, just £27 for two.

I enjoyed my stay at Al Qidra. The rooms (405 and 401) were up to expected standards. Spacious rooms and comfortable beds. Shower and toilet, no complaints. A good sized fridge and a writing desk was an unexpected bonus. Most rooms have balconies (check before you book). Rooms with balconies facing east have sun from early morning till late afternoon. Balconies in rooms facing west will have sun only for a couple of hours in late afternoon, The breakfast buffet was satisfactory even from an European point of view. Included Corn Flakes, fresh milk, fresh tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, olives, tea, coffee, juice, boiled eggs, toast, yoghurt, pita bread and more. No problem to fill up your stomach there. The staff was very service minded and friendly. You might need earplugs since street noise is a bit of a bother if you like to sleep early. Good location in central Aqaba, but no pool or roof terrace. Altogether, a very good choice for a pleasant stay in Aqaba.

Room Tip: Rooms-balconies on the ESE side have sun from early morning but are a bit exposed to street noise. Balconies on the WNW side only have sun in the late afternoon but have a much better view of the surroundings. But are also exposed to street noise. But then, on the other hand, nobody travels without a good set of earplugs nowadays.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We originally booked a ground level floor but were upgraded to a larger suite with a balcony. Booked one night and enjoyed the hotel so much that we decided to stay for another, unfortunately they had just booked the last available room. The management was very helpful trying to arrange another hotel for us to stay. Eventually they arranged for us to go to Wadi Rum that day and stay overnight there. They were a great help to us.
The hotel was very clean and the room was great as well. View from the balcony wasn't great but that's the only negative thing I can think of. Overall it is a great place to stay at a very good price.

Stayed in Aqaba for 3 days needing a rest after touring round Jordanfor a week. The hotel is central, the rooms are very large and it was great to have a balcony to sit on at night.
Nothing was too much effort for the manager and the staff, they even rang and provided me with their own credit card to reserve a room in Madaba as I didnt posess one.
The hotel could be noisy as its so central but this is made up in so many ways with the excellent customer service and smiles of the staff. I would recommend the hotel and say continue doing a great job you could show a few people here in England about how to look after your customers.
I hope that the roof terrace is utilised as it could be a lovely spot if its completed and a pool would have been nice but you cant have everything

Room Tip: Could be noisy with balcony rooms esp at front

We stayed at this hotel for one night on Oct 25th, 2012. We arrived tired from the Wadi Rum area, and our room was ready upon arrival. The front desk guy showed us the room and it was nice and airy. There was a balcony and we were happy with our choice. Then ... my wife went to use the bathroom and the flushing system didn't work, the sink leaked and the shower drain was clogged. We called the front desk, and promptly someone was sent to check the problem. The guy tried to fix the problem for about an hour, and he said he would come back in a bit. We were tired and dirty and wanted to shower and go out, so I went downstairs to find out what could be done. I guess the owner was there and he had us changed to another room.

The new room was next to our original room but was light years away from the quality - the room was in very, very poor condition. The door would not close, the bathroom was borderline filthy, the TV remote was held together with tape and some pieces of cardboard, and the bed frames were entirely too big for the mattresses, creating empty spaces on either side of the mattress. The water pressure in the bathroom was virtually nonexistent. The bathroom ceiling was falling apart, with lightbulbs missing, the ceiling was chipped all over, and the water heater only heated the shower water.

Other than the room though, the location for the hotel is pretty good. It's about a minute walk from a lot of restaurants and convenience stores. The environment at night is very nice - lots of hustle and bustle. It's walking distance to the main drag and the weather was conducive to exploration on foot.

If the hotel would invest some money in upgrading their rooms and repairing the bathrooms, this would be a very nice and peaceful stay, pleasant and helpful staff, with all amenities at hand. However, without that, I am not sure if I would readily recommend the place to others.
