“Really Great Stay.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 14, 2012

We stayed just the one night, and managed several snorkelling dives, simply by wandering out into the sea across from the road that goes up to the village. Snorkelling was awesome, but coral becoming progressively more damaged as I can tell. Tip: From the beach across the road, follow the rope out - fantastic area with loads of fish.
We didn't SCUBAdive, but the centre was obviously well-run, and with more time, I suspect we'd have had no issue with learning there.

At the Hotel, everyone was great, the accommodation clean and entirely functional. Angie is great, down to earth and will sort out your issues - if you have any.

We went to the licensed restaurant down the road (licensed = a few beers). Food was great - esp the arabic salads, but grilled fish size small. We'd go back, and probably dive, or learn if we hadn't already.

Room Tip: The 'Stingray room' has great WiFi reception

Good value little dive center with eight clean and large rooms. The atmosphere is very friendly and you feel welcome straight away when you arrive. The staff is nice to hang out with and the dive staff is very professional, I felt very safe and the equipment is good too (did my aow course here) Food is good, but if you would like to try more local food, head to Aqaba centre (taxi 5 dinars). The place is located 5-10 minutes walk from Aqaba south beach where most of the dive camps are located. Will definitely stay here again if I go back to Aqaba.

We had a great stay here. The hotel is further back from the beach than some of the other budget hotels in the area BUT quiet and peaceful as a result with great rooms and very friendly staff who were more than happy to answer our endless questions. Food was great. Would stay again. The hotel is about 15 minute drive from Aqaba so a car would be very useful.

Everything from the standard of accommodation and location to the level of service we received was fantastic. We opted for a transfer from the airport organised by arabdivers , the taxi driver quoted 'welcome home' when we arrived, and we certainly did feel at home. We were gutted when it was time to say bye! We received a warm welcome and we talked through our diving plans and trip opportunties and got some excellent advice to make the most of our time whilst in aqaba and even great tips and advice for traveling to our next destination :) Our room was great, clean, comfortable bed, air con, The pool is awesome too, and the grounds the hotel is set in are lovely to relax in and have breakfast outside. Breakfast is also awesome, a real good set up for the day, usually an omelet or jam, yoghurt, really good coffee!! We already had our open water cert, but we wanted to do our advanced. I hadn't dived in 4 years, but our dive instructor was an absolute star and built up my confidence again, and his passion for diving and sense of humor made it for us. We had an amazing time and ended up chilling with the guys in the evenings too showing us the best spots to eat and drink. We had an awesome time. Thanks again so so much, will be back for sure and are recommending to all : )

Room Tip: all the room are good

Rooms are simple but comfortable, with seperate toilet & shower areas.

South Beach is a quiet village about 10km, from Aqaba, so if you have no intention of diving you might find yourself getting bored here because there is next to nothing in South Beach itself.
The diving experience here is great. There are very few people around so you have the dive masters undivided attention throughout, making it such a relaxed easy going dive experience for newbies.
There are ship wreck dives & the sunken army tank which are easily accessible to novice divers.

Only gripe, would be the quality of meals served at the divers village, but with the town center only a JD 5, cab fare away, a trip to the town centre is easy enough.
Try eating at Ali Baba's & Aqaba House. Good food !!

Room Tip: It was ubelievably windy while we were at the Red Sea, and apparently it had been like this for some...
