“Outstanding service”

How many times, booking at a 5 stars hotel through the web , have you been called the day before by a the hotel's PPRR manager to ask if you needed something extra ,had any special requirement , or was there anything out of the ordinary you'd like to order or enjoy whilst at the hotel !?!? I'd say ," not many !" . Well , that is the standard level of service at the brand new Kempinsky in Aqaba ! . That , of course , raised my expectations for the following day there but we were always satisfied beyond expectation : great views from an extraordinary room , where you can see the Red Sea whilst having a bath , etc ,etc.
Alejandra , the PPRR manager deserves a special mention as she made our stay unforgettable , including when my wife accidentally slipped in the swimming pools area and fell on her back . The whole hotel , including the general manager bent backwards to make her feel better after the unfortunate incident .
We do hope to have the chance of coming back to the Kempinsky in Aqaba !!!

This hotel is really amazing in many aspects, specifically the rooms, the pool area, and the styling of basically everything.
Unfortunately the prizing of lunch snacks and drinks is way to high.10 JOD for a beer, 10 JOD for a small salad, are you kidding me! After the first try we stayed clear of the restaurants and bars in the hotel in favour of the town where a beer was 5-6 JOD.
Overall the service was perfect, but again the bars and restaurants stod out as slow.Should be quicker in a 5 star rated place. But asking for the complimentary non-alcoholic minibar replenishment I hardly put the phone down before they were there. Took a snorkling tour and parasailing from the in-house service, both perfect.

Room Tip: Either expect to pay through the nose for food and beverage or eat in town.

If you think to stay in Aqaba ,the kempinski hotel should be your first choice.
very nice place with see view from all the rooms, modern romantic design .
the best choice for couples.
its close to the restaurants zone ,no taxi needed , actually the city is not that nice so ,but you can find some good restaurants, and all the fast food restaurants are very near by.

breakfast with free WiFi and free minibar is the best value for money

Room Tip: even though i was on the 1st floor, but all rooms are almost the same

This was my second trip to Aqaba, and I still love it, although I'm not 100% sure why . . . Yes, it's true, the city is a mess, construction everywhere (mostly sitting idle), no good shopping, local restaurants are disappointing, tons of gawking locals eyeing your girl, but there's still a charm . . . It's hard to explain. There's an amazing potential for Aqaba and I hope they achieve it. In the meantime, there's the Kempinski and it's wonderful.

- It starts with the staff, they are super! The girls in red, made us feel welcome right away, front desk was always quick and helpful and the restaurants are really good (tasty), and not just for Aqaba, I mean they are world class, and I've been around. And that's not just the cooking, the staff, as well.
- Moving-on, the style of the hotel is wonderfully modern (if you like that). I loved the rooms and so did my girl. Views are amazing! Spa is more than enough (but not like something you find in southern Europe).
- The BEACH!! The beach is small, cozy, and perfect. If you like the smaller, private type beach, you'll like their beach. The staff were professional, and made an effort not to stare at my girl constantly, which was appreciated. She always felt comfortable on the beach. Which can be an issue in the Middle East.
So, if you are looking for some sun and quite relaxation (in this part of the world), you'll be happy here (if you want more "bling-bling", go to Dubai). AND don't forget to make a day trip to Petra, and Wadi Rum. It's amazing . . .

I stayed in the Kempinski Aqaba for five nights in August 2012 after a camping trip in Wadi rum and the pampering started as soon as we were picked up at Aqaba airport. The hotel car swooshed us to the hotel with minimum fuss and we were greeted at the Hotel by our Lady In Red who showed us to our rooms, explained the facilities and answered our questions with great charm and efficiency. The room was wonderful, with panoramic views from our balcony over to Israel.Breakfast was exceptional and the staff were wonderful-attentive and friendly. The pool area and beach were immaculate and the staff at the swim-up bar got to know us quickly! The Fish In restaurant was the venue for a delicious dinner and the ambience was relaxed and cossetting.Basically I have nothing but the highest praise for the hotel and its dedicated and attentive staff. Ten out of ten

Room Tip: All rooms face out to the beach with a private balcony so no complaints

I spent 5 perfecy days in Kempinsky Aquaba in August 2012, agter 3 days in Kempinsky Amman.
In Amman hotel was quite old and not fully refurbished and I was afrade that this is the standard for Jordan.
I find in Aquaba a new and modern hotel, with high quality finishing and a nice privat beach.
All roms have sea view and if you stay on superior floors the view is very nice .

What was not god: on check in they scann laguages and they complain that in one they find one bottel half with whiskey; problem was not that is alcohol but because we brin alcogol from outside; is sinfle time when such thing happend to me and i travel a lot; was necessarly to discuss with a manager to solbe this isue.
Other aspect is the location which is somehow out of city, but you van reach turistic center in around 10 min walking.
Last complain is regarding the fod from the pool whih is junk food style. If you like junk food ok, but i dont.

All other aspects were greate and the espexialy the staff from front desk wwhich was very hkind and helpfull.

Also roms are large and nice and has also nice balcony with armchairs (a little small for my size:) where you can enjoy sunsets. The minibar was free but no alcohool because you still are in a muslim country.
I also reccomand the tea coffe bar where you can enjoy greae tea or cofie and smoke sisa (wather pipe).

I fully recomand this hotel for holiday.

I stayed there for a weekend recently. It was truly amazing! Our room, modern and chic, had a sea view and a cool bathroom (it can over look the sea as well and for privacy you have the option of closing the shutters). Breakfast was wonderfully set, with a modern buffet display and there were delicious choices! The service was up to standards and quite impressive and the balcony seating overlooked the romantic palm trees shadowing the pool below. The indoor bar area I thought was quite dull and unattractive, a pity because the rest of the hotel is very well done.
The stretch of beach is quite tiny, if you want to compare it to other beach hotels, but it does the job and the sand is stone/pebble-free. There were sea activities. I didn't try any of the spa treatments, all the more reason to go back soon!! I am not sure if the hotel is child friendly, it does give a feeling that is a tranquil adult hotel.
