Those looking for a place where you'll believe (again) in human kindness and genuine enthusiasm should go to Radisson! The staff was exceptionally friendly without force, being too pushy or submissive. The resort is down to the smallest detail and fully equipped.

Seeking points of criticism: the food at the resort is a bit monotonous, but Platterns restaurant within walking distance of the harbor Tala Bay offers a great alternative! Again very friendly staff. The excursions (eg, Petra and Wadi Rum) are expensive (also on tour operator Tui) and - in our opinion - it's not worth that kind of amount. For excursions: better go to Egypt or try to make a deal with a local taxi driver.

Nearby (in terms of culture or nightlife) is not much to do. And you go in December / January: Please note that you have guaranteed sun, but also the guarantee of a cold breeze and sunset at 15:30. After that, it's quite cold! Swimming is not / hardly possible. Too bad for those beautiful pools!

But as I said: it's looking for comments, because the resort, the rooms, the service and the kindness or the staff are extraordinary!

It has everything you can expect from a 5 star resort. The infinity pool is forbidden for children, which is superb for some quality pool tranquility. Our travel agency had a program for stuff to do but we got around on our own. A taxi to Aqaba city or walking to talabay. From here you can go to Petra, the dead sea or the wadi rum desert. Be sure to make a bargain with the taxi driver for your trips. Taxi drivers are everywhere the same. They always ask twice the price. You can go to Petra and the driver will wait for you till you are done. When you want to go to see the wadi rum desert be sure to go through the official office and not a km before the entrance to the left on some dirt road for someones nephew who also drives a battered truck through the desert. Its to support the right bedoein and not the wrong.

Something for reflection. At the dinner buffet we saw someone from the staff hide behind a counter in a corner to stuff hearself with food from the buffet. Though you are in a 5 star resort, it would suit you to not be unpolite to the underpaid staff.

We are staying in the Radisson in Aqaba since the 24th of december and we will leave on the 7 of january. The hotel is realy beautifull, food is great and the people here are very nice and helpfull.
December/January is a good time to come since the wheater is not too hot (between 20 & 25 degrees). Aqaba is a good place to stay for visiting the country and also for having a rest. The Radisson is also appropriate for spending holidays with very young children (our daughter is about 3 years old and enjoys her stay - the heated swimming pool is her favourite).
Many thanks to the team ( in particular to Leslie from the restaurant who is so sweet with our daughter). For sure we will come back...

We dont like roomservice! we found that the staff of the main restourant was very unpolite.they forgot to bring our drinks.it took so long to get it. i think hotel should work on attitude of the workers. it was busy and mass.food is very spisy.
