My son and I stayed here from 9th og february to 16 th og february 2013. Lovely people working there. We felt so welcome. The relaxed atmosphere was just what I needed. All the staff was so good to us. The houskeeping excellent, the food very good ( i am a chef), the pool area very nice. Will never choose another hotel in Aqaba but Marina Plaza.

Room Tip: Get room facing the sea

Friendly and extremely serviceminded staff! Very nice and clean hotel. The area is a bit quiet , but we stayed there in offseason. We will return, but we will go a month or so later have more stabil weather!

I visited this hotel with my 4 friends, we came from Amman to Aqaba by car. The hotel is located on a compound of hotels, and houses. the date of our trip was in January which is a very cold month when you are in the north of Jordan, the only hot places to visit in this month would be Aqaba and The dead sea.

Notes:
1. The Hotel was very clean, I walked with no shoes the whole time.
2. The pool was heated for you to swim even in cold weather (which i did), the pool ranges from 1.5 meters to 1.8 meters which is perfect for my type of swimmers.
3. The 5 of us paid (400JOD total) on two nights, we added an extra bed to one of the rooms.
4. This hotel is good for families, not so many young people go there.
5. They have a good bar. Jim, restaurant.
6. The room was big, but not very big when we jammed three beds in there.

Recommendations:
-Go for a walk in the compound, go outside the marina plaza and ask the people on the main gate or the resection to provide you with a map of the compound, walk to the sea and visit the store, and the bars that all have access to in the compound.

- Jet ski is a good idea.

- They have golf carts that will pick you up at any point if you get tiered.

- The prices of the restaurant's menu( found when you take the famous walk) is mid range paying 10-15 jd per person.

- There is no shakes in the water, but they say to swim in the sea at your own responsibility.

Room Tip: We took rooms 6108, 6109 they were not so bad but there was no sea view.

We stayed here one week during our winter vacation. We got a nice room with ocean view. The rooms are good size and bathroom is good, except that the lights could have been more bright. The room was cleaned everyday and change of towels and sheets when we needed it. The cleaning guy made really nice formations of the towles, like swans and crocodile. The breakfast and dinner was a huge buffet and we weren't hungry one time during the stay. The dinner could have been more varied, we got a little bit tired of it even if it was different main courses everyday. The pool was nice, heated during winter and the service really good, they helped you with sunbeds and parasolls, towels were included. spa and fitness center was noce but small, the equipment in the gym could have been better but it was enough. Steam ans sauna was for free, nice but small. The onlu negative was that the area is too calm, there is only two restaurants, so you eat at the hotell all the time. There is a shuttle to Aqaba, first at 10 am and the next at 3 pm, could be more often, but actually there is not much to see there. it is only 200 m to the beach were you can snorkle. if you want to have a calm vacation and like staying at the hotell it's perfect.

I visited this hotel for one night only. There are all the facilities provided (free Wi-Fi at last! - impossible to find it in other Jordan's 4* hotels).
Is is situated 14km from the Aqaba's city center. Hotel taxis charge 10JD(one-way).
There is a free shuttle bus, but limited times.
Very helpful staff.
Dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent.
In conclusion this hotel is for the travellers who want to enjoy the sun, sea, pool, spas etc.
Otherwise it is better to find a hotel in Aqaba city centre.

We have stayed in this hotel in winter 2012. The hotel is very conveniently located in a good, quiet place, not far from the Aqaba, 10-12 minutes ride on a shuttle bus. 3 minutes walk to the sea. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to Aqaba 3-4 times a day, but you have to register in advance.
Rooms are clean, not small, with balconies overlooking either on a pool or to sea, equipped with TV, safe, fridge, hairdryer, ironing board on request. Our room had a sea view (actually the rooms with a sea view are overlooking to the beach club area.), it was comfy and very clean.
The food in the restaurant was very good, no much choice during the breakfast, but in any case, there was enough variety of food during the dinner, to select from. We have orders only the breakfast and the dinner, as during the lunch times, we usually were going to Aqaba, where there were many cafés and restaurants with local food and a McDonalds very near to the bus stop.
The hotel has 3 pools, which were filled in with warm water, pools were clean, sometimes there was a music playing which was very nice. In the evenings there was music playing in the pool bar, and we had a very good singer, unfortunately I don’t remember his name, but the singing was really very good.
The personnel was good, smiling and helpful, very polite, in one word- good
The only bad thing was that juices and water were not included in the dinner (as is done everywhere, and we had to pay for them, and they were overpriced in the hotel)
In general, my family liked the hotel, and it is probable, that we would return to this hotel, if we are back to Jordan again

Room Tip: All the rooms are good, but try to have a room with a sea view on the 2nd or third floors

We stayed here for 2 nights at the start of January 2013. The rooms were spotless and comfortble The resort is clean and well laid out with shops and restaurants. We had breakfast and the food and service was good. The day we arrived was sunny so we spent the time by the pool area, which is excellent, there is a lovely pool side eating area. The staff in the spa, food areas and bell boys were helpful and friendly. The second day it rained, we were told to go to the Spa are to enquire about any activities (glass bottomed boat was advertised at reception & snorkeling), the ladies who worked in the Spa contacted the activities supervisor and he arrived to talk to us, he was the rudest person I've had to deal with, he was condescending to us and was rude to the ladies who work there, I would not return here because of his attitude. Further more there are no activities in the resort so there is nothing to do when it rains, there was a shuttle bus into Aqaba but the times it went in were not regular enough and we had to get a taxi in.
