Yes, this really is the only Marriott on the US side closest to the falls. So if you want to stay on points and donot have a passport/need a visa to cross the border you will have no choice but to stay here :( The drive is a killer since it takes about 30mins to get to the falls and we need to cross a toll booth + a bottle neck bridge.
We checked in on a friday, and it was a very smooth. I wasnt expecting too much from the hotel since a lot of reviews spoke of molds. But I was pleasently surprised by the room they gave us. It was renovated - comfortable mattress, nice white red and gold finishes. And a fab bathroom! Very impressive. The area is pretty safe and theres plenty of free parking. Starbucks at the lobby and Houlihans' is convinient. There's also a pizza place down the road.
The downside was concierge not open during weekends. So we had to buy water from a vending machine on the floor. Also, no free wi-fi. Other than that, a very pleasant stay!More
