It is almost too nice to be called a neighborhood restaurant. But the service and atmosphere is warm and friendly. Some beautiful aquariums well kept and well lit to show off some salt water fish. And outside dining in most weather in a very comfortable setting.
The food is high quality and servings are ample, and usually are enjoyed again at home. Menu is diverse and offerings for almost anyone. Pricing is very decent for what you enjoy.

Thank Bob S

Granted we have only been here once, but we were delighted by the experience.

This appears to be a family run operation that has grown over the years. On a Saturday evening the parking lot was reasonably full (good sign!) and we had a 15 minute wait for a table. This allowed us to consult with the bartender about menu choices.

We each had a "stuffed" chicken breast entree. One an apple & etc, the other a seafood filling. Both were outstanding - on pretty much all counts. We opted for the "lite" version, i.e. only one breast which was more than adequate. (Looking around the room it would appear that serving sizes are large. A full version of our entree would have been too much - at least for me.) Entree comes with a salad and bead & butter as well as a vege or potato. We both got green beans which were fresh and perfectly cooked. Coffee after dinner was great. (Surprising how many places can't make good coffee.)

Choices on the menu are substantial from dinner entrees to sandwiches, burgers and mac & cheeese.

Staff was uniformly helpful, attentive and cheerful.

Decor is unique with a number of large salt water fish tanks around the dining rooms and bar areas. Place has a well used but well loved aura about it. Not in any sense haute cuisine in a fancy settting, but also several tiers above the average "family restaurant". Although it would be a great place to being kids.

A couple of pints at the bar set us back about $10. Dinner bill including tax was about $33. We though we got exceptional value. We'll be back again when we're near.

There is a charming patio, but it was raining so hard we could hear each other, so we sat inside. The Stuffed Mushroom Appetizer was fantastic. I ordered a salad with chicken as well...HUGE portion (lots of salad with 2 full grilled chicken breasts)...enough to feed 4 people. NExt time I would ask for a half portion. Very enjoyable evening. Staff was friendly and knowledgable.

Seems like there has been some kind of seafood restaurant at this site for well over 50 years. The portions are huge. The service is superb and the wait times not so bad. They have a glassed in, outdoor patio that is pretty to look at and inviting on a sunny day. The menu is a mix of seafood and Italian dishes, but it somehow works. Not fancy, but certainly filling.

We've eaten at the Grapevine before, but hadn't experienced the charming new patio before. I went with five other family members. My husband loved his crab cakes, but I thought my fish---called Panga, I think----was exceptionally good. It was parmesan crusted and very tasty, and more than I could eat. The Grapevine is famous for their lovely tropical fish tanks throughout the restaurant, but it really deserve a try for the food. I also had a very good blueberry beer from a local brewery. Oh, and Kim, our server, was courteous and helpful. Will definitely return.
