“Real Client Care”
Reviewed April 18, 2014

Had the chance to stay at Maramba for 3 nights. Upon arrrivng found there was a mixup with a tour we booked over the phone. Instead of the expected .."so sorry"... Brad the manager personally intervened and made sure we could get back on track with our schedule. I was very impressed with the level of staff commitment to customer care and can fully recommend this establishment . The different levels of accomodation make this resort affordable for all.

My wife and I stayed 4 months at Maramba, while building a project in Livingstone. Brad and Ruth Keast, the managers there, as well as the staff became like family to us. The Lodge is beautifully situated on the Maramba River and the only Lodge situated in the Mosi Oa Tunya National Park. That means that basically, you will see elephants, hippos and crocs by the river for the most of the dry season (May to October). We bumped into the local hippo almost every night. It doesn't get any better than that, unless you join a Safari trip.
We love the atmosphere, the park-like feel of the Lodge and the friendliness of the managers and stuff. We felt welcome and accepted. We heartily recommend it to travelers as a great stop for Victoria Falls, which is very close by (you can hear it at night from you tent or room).

Room Tip: Check the Safari Tents, they are private and very quaint.

We have been using this place as our #1 place to stay when in Livingstone for the last 13 years. We have taken many visitors with us and every trip there has been enjoyable. The prices are about the cheapest you can now find in Livingstone and still have a very enjoyable stay. The thing that draws us the most is that you are not in a cookie cutter hotel setting. You are truly in Africa with occasional hippos and elephants walking around, day or night, and beautiful pristine scenery as you look over the Maramba River while enjoying your meal. Crocodiles are seen sunning themselves on the bank, across the river of course, birds are every where, and you will hear the hippos singing to you from the river. We love staying in the Safari Tents and the Dome tents, all with electricity, of course! I would highly recommend this place.

Room Tip: Safari Tents are covered with electricity and en suite toilet and shower and cheaper than the Chalet...

We had a two night stay here and had originally booked for camping, but due to the rains we stayed in the safari tents. These were expensive and crammed in alongside each other. We found the staff welcoming and friendly, but as we did not eat in the restaurant we cannot comment on the food and service.

We stayed at the Maramba River Lodge for the second time this summer when we were visiting Livingstone and Chobe National Park. We stayed in the safari tents that were very comfy and had nice hot showers. The complex is right on the river and is a very relaxing place to enjoy a drink as the sun sets. There is also a travel agency on site that can help you book all your holiday adventures in the area.

we initially booked 2 nights camping and extended an extra 2 days. we camped next to the river in a lovely setting. The swimming pool was great for the kids and Bradley and his team were very helpful.
The proximity to the falls and being just out of town made it a perfect place to stay.

We stayed in the luxury tents and found them to be very comfortable. The food was good and the staff were friendly. Loved the breakfast with the fresh scones! We were there at the hottest time of the year and were a bit worried about the tents being too hot at night but they weren't. We like that we could get tea and coffee at the bar area in the morning and afternoon and the restaurant had a great view of the river and we watched hippo eat while we ate.
