High on a hill several kilometers from the river with no inkling that you are near Victoria Falls. Views of scrub brush and a man made water reservior. Supposedly all inclusive of food and activities, but menu is without any choice with only one item offered and small portions of unimaginative food such as"fish fingers". There is a long list of activities but almost all were full or not included as "all inclusive" activities. On the plus side, the rooms are charming and the garden and pool ( despite the bugs) are pretty. If you are coming for the Falls, much better to stay in town or by the river

We spent 2 nights in the Stanley Safari Lodge recently and liked it a lot. The layout is very generous with lots of space between the bungalows and fantastic views in the direction of the Victoria Falls that are a 10 minutes drive away.
Our bungalow was meticulous and very spacious with separate lounging area, huge bathroom/shower and terrace with plunge pool.
The staff and mangament were VERY friendly and helpful and arranged our visit to the Falls (great experience) and the lion walk (fantastic experience), the food is delicious and they give you a different table with a view for every meal.
We can really recommend Stanley Safari lodge for a stay in Livingstone and especially for a safari start because the atmosphere is very relaxing, friendly and comfortable.

Room Tip: The Livingstone Bungalow is very nice.

Everything is perfect in this exclusive lodge. We stayed for 4 nights and spent our 1 year anniversary and were really impressed with the quality of client service there. Management and staff are very friendly, helpful and truly professional. They looked after us very well and arranged all our activities around Livingstone and helped to plan an amazing safari after that through 6 countries! We are very grateful for our best vacation ever!

Staying at Stanley Safari Lodge was the perfect start to our honeymoon. We were blown away on arrival! The location of the lodge is perfect; it is off the beaten track which is exactly what we wanted, but we did not isolated because the hotel staff made it so easy for us to get around. Clara booked all of our activities such that everything was seemless. We would recommend the Sunset Cruise and a helicopter ride over the Falls - both stunning! We stayed in an open suite and it was incredible seeing the spray of the Falls from the comfort of our bed, watching the sun go down from our private terrace complete with plunge pool and awaking to the roar of lions. The main lodge is beautiful, as are the grounds and the main pool. We had our own personal waitress for the week and we dined wherever we wished; one night we had dinner on a secluded platform and the other night by the pool and we were even presented with a "Happy Honeymoon" cake. The staff could not be more helpful and I cannot fault Stanley Safari Lodge in any way - it is perfect and was the best start to a honeymoon that we will never forget for all the right reasons. We booked our trip through Imagine Africa who recommended this lodge and I would highly recommend them as a travel agent if you are thinking of a trip to Africa!

Room Tip: Open suite is a must!

The open suites are not the type of place you want to find yourself alone....this is one of the most romantic spots, rooms and lodges I have ever been to. From the birds flying through the room, to the undisturbed breeze and smells of the bush wofting past your face and the distant rumble of the falls, this room experience made me happy for the first time in many years not to have been Livingstone the day he met the falls...I have been spoiled and am very happy Stanley Safari Lodge exists. Paula was the perfect host, and I have not giggled, laughed and felt so welcome by staff in long long time. Although best if you have your own car, or all transfers arranged, the experience is worth not being on the river edge, under the microlite drone, and thunderous chopper blades of sight seeing tour. Stanley Safari food was scrumptious accommodating and very tasty. Will definitely go back......
