I visited the museum with my daughter and really enjoyed it. The rooms are very well organised and the exhibits well presented. We particularly enjoyed the recreations of village life scenes. The stuffed animals were a bit tired-looking but so are those in London's Natural History Museum... The section dedicated to David Livingstone was also very informative and interesting. It may not have the last generation interactive attractions of big city museums but it's a testimony of Zambia's history and culture well worth visiting.

The contents are good especially the wildlife display and the livingstone memorabilia. But all are jaded and need a face lift

Liked: wealth of Livingstone memorabilia, including dozens of his letters
Disliked: touts outside the museum trying to sell copper bracelets

It was a good place to visit but we felt that the direction signs around the museum could be clearer and we mentioned this to the staff. Some of the exhibits are rather tired looking. It would not take a lot to make this a superb museum given the finances to do it as it has the makings of an interesting visit.Lighting would be first thing to consider.I hope this is not too negative but helpful to those in charge.
