“Relaxing stay!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

We came to the Zambezi Sun for a business meeting, but were happily surprised that any time off turned into vacation time! Just walking over to the falls brings you to a completely different world that is so impressive and unique that you are completely washed off your concerns (and drenched in water). The zebra and impala walking through the gardens of the hotel also help to create a unique atmosphere in which you can combine business with pleasure. The food was excellent and the rooms are a bit basic, but have everything that you need. On top of that the hotel staff was very friendly. I found myself wishing that I would have the time to really go on vacation and come back here and enjoy this for at least a week. Hopefully it will happen sometime.

So close to the falls we could wander there ourselves whenever we wanted. We did have a guided tour included. Other activities were organised for us from the accommodation such as the gorge swing and flying on the high wire. We would of done more activities if we had of had the time. A fantastic few days were spent at this resort.

Located conveniently on a national park, you honestly can't get any closer to Victoria Falls than staying at the Zambezi Sun! Although the rooms are starting to get slightly outdated (compared to the first time I visited in 2009), the wildlife that roam freely through the park, the amazing food, the pool and bar, and of course the natural attraction of Victoria Falls make this hotel unforgettable. If you really wanted to, you could even lead your own safari around the hotel seeing as there are plenty of zebra, baboons, monkeys, and giraffes walking freely around the grounds! The wifi is a nice bonus as well!

Great location rooms ok need a little up dating did not like stone flooring but all in all a great hotel pool great and the groungs zebra and impala walking around welcomed in by Zulu dancers. Lovely tow double beds near the reception and over looking pool. Could walk to the falls which are quite dry this time of year so not a lot off water bit disapointed but we saw the rock formatiom which you would not normally see. Breakfast ok not as good as other hotel we stopped in on our travels, Did not eat in restarant in evening we went to Squires food very good and one night we went to Royal Livingstone for dinner very nice, and a great pleace to go to during day to watch Hippo in the river catch the suttle bus outside hotel to take you, worth a visit. all in all a great Hotel

Our one day stay at the Zambezi Sun was full of adventure for us. The location was great with Victoria Falls being a short walk away, having a guide to explore and help us look for the giraffes. We also saw a baby croc.
We enjoyed the pool, dining and the band...the music was so relaxing. The animals walk the ground so make sure you always have your camera ready. We loved the decor of the hotel, the lobby area and the layout. The grounds were clean and welcoming and all the staff were so friendly. The rooms were okay, but the air conditioner was so loud it was hard for us to sleep.

Great location and pool. The lobby is beautiful! It is so nice to be able to just walk to the falls when that is really why you are there! Cool that the zebras just walk the grounds! The rooms need up dating. We had mold in the shower and our air-conditioner leaked a huge puddle in the entry of our room. Luckily it was the morning we were checking out. The staff were good but not exceptional. Overall it was an average stay and I would stay again. The pool and location made it!

Zambezi Sun is the only hotel with walking distance to the Falls. It's located inside the game park, so as you drive out in the morning the chances that you will see Giraffes on the road side. Zebras and other small wild life will be a usual seen and you will be walking pass them all the time inside the hotel premises. The food is good, rooms are beautifully decorated, clean, and service is superb. Another jewel where you have to spend at least one night.
