The Zambezi really is a beautiful structure however felt it was really pricing in comparison to some of the more plush places I had stayed in , for starters their room rate was US200 but was disconcerting is that they do not accept US dollars , which seems silly coz their are an international hotel who Im sure receives a lot of foreign guests there is no bureau de change , and any guest that needs to change the foreign currency into Zambian Kwacha have to travel about 30mins into town to find a place to change their money. In our case it was around 6pm when we realised this and luckily we found a bureau de change at a shop rite checkers retail shop. The rooms were nice and one lovely thing was the fact they had animals zebra roaming their grounds. We had dinner at their ala Carte restaurant called Squire's it was lovely food was delicious , service very friendly and ambience was quiet hype enjoyed it. Overall though I still think though US$ 200 is a lot but then again only spent a night there.

Room Tip: Our room was 3342 was quiet , and nearer to the main hotel.

Superb location. You can walk to the falls in 5 minutes. We were offered a room on ground floor facing the falls. But the fall was not visible from our room, it is out of sight. The hotel is very expensive. They have Zebras, Giraffes in hotel campus. Their pool is very large. Breakfast was OK (not very good). Wi-Fi is available free for first 30 minutes in the hotel lobby only. We were charged extra on our credit card after we checked out. Be aware of such charges.

Room Tip: Get rooms closer to the falls.

Was at Zambezi sun on business visit -I enjoyed the beauty of the Victoria falls - Breath taking views indeed.A place you need to visit with family or as a couple. The rooms are good, the TVs are horrible very disappointed they could do better. The falls makes its an excellent choice.Lack of a Gym was a turn down for me.

Room Tip: Rooms on the south side are large& sunny - the sound of the water falls is like a lullaby.

In Malawi & Zambia with the ONE Campaign for a week. Hotels along the way were good - but ending up at the Zambezi Sun was two clear notches up. The rooms were of decent size, television are out-dated by western standards but the picture was clear and the channel selection adaquate. The restaurant is buffet F-L-D and they change the theme of the dinner buffet each night. Friday, for instance, was Tex-Mex night. Not what you'd get in Dallas, but tasty and prepared with gusto and good humor. The bar service at the pool was terrific. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

Extremely kind and capable staff, comfortable rooms, excellent restaurant and ideal location for visiting Victoria Falls make this hotel an excellent choice. The Zambezi Sun Hotel is a relaxing oasis. Within the same hotel group as the much pricier Royal Livingston Hotel just down the road, the Zambezi Sun offers good value. You can walk the level 10 minute path to the Royal Livingston Hotel, and see resident zebra and giraffe. Our group was very happy staying at this hotel.
